Hey guys , I have a Nissan GTR Spec V , but I've messed something up with it , and when in reverse or 1st gear it accelerates up to about 6 mph without touching the throttle . Help would be greatly appreciated , thanks.

I'd check your controller before your tuning. You may just need to re-calibrate your wheel or the accelerator may be down just a bit even when you're not touching it.

…or just try restarting GT5/your PS3.

Reset you gears in your transmissions , one click and they will go back to their original settings ;)

It's supposed to do that, nothing is wrong.

None of my other cars do that though ?

I haven't touched my transmission or anything , all I've upgraded is the suspension , drivetrain , engine and tires.

Some will. Most won't. The GT-R is, as Vegard rightly points out, supposed to do it.

Oh I thought he meant all cars are supposed to do that . My bad dude.

And thanks .

In a real car with an automatic transmission, in gear, engine running... take your foot off the brake and the car will move under idle power. 6mph sounds about right.

Cars will automatically go forward (in game and in real life) if you don't press on the brakes or put the e-brake on.

Also, it depends on where you stop if you car is going forward. Try on the Top Gear test track.

It happens to me to in the Spec-V and the 07'
When I slow down to a full stop and I'm still holding the brakes the car revs a bit and then if I put the handbrake on it doesn't rev.

I usually stop and hold the ebrake button for a few seconds and it locks it at least in my experience

And if you are careful with the clutch, i expect most modern manuals will too. Could be an anti stall program or something. I could get to third in my 06 Civic on the flat.

In the game if you are bored you can get a GTR into sixth without too much up hill.

Some new cars won't actually move forward under no braking. I test drove a VW CC with an automatic transmission and the thing didn't move anywhere. It's got a button that turns a setting on and off which will keep it still with no braking until you get on the accelerator.

…it was the weirdest feeling. I had to turn it off as soon as I found out about it…
