Notice also that most maps have Britain right in the middle, and that the gaps between the latitude lines (which are supposedly equidistant) are much further apart around the UK..
Is it normal to have a recurring headache in the same spot? As in, it happens at one point or another almost every day over at least a week?
And they are all wrong, since technically all maps should be centered upon wherever Chuck Norris is.. (or so I've heard)Most British maps have Britain in the middle.
Maps in Spain have mainland Europe in the middle. Maps in the US have America in the middle. Japanese maps have Japan in the middle... no joke.

Probably alot to do with Britain...
Notice also that most maps have Britain right in the middle, and that the gaps between the latitude lines (which are supposedly equidistant) are much further apart around the UK.. the reasons for that are probably historical or have something to do with allowing more detail in these regions, but it also has the curious effect of making the UK look alot bigger than it actually is...
Also, it depends on what maps you are looking at - at which way round you decide to look at them!
Nevertheless, since the Prime Meridian runs through some unknown hamlet in England, world maps used by most of us have England's longitude in the center of the map. It's nice to (have tried to) rule the world at the time maps got to be good.

The Prime Meridian doesn't just happen to pass through Greenwich, it's where it was established.
I'm in the UK, and I'm further north than you.Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Finland, Canada and Russia are better countries than the UK, because we're farther North? Sweet!![]()

I think. I don't really understand latitude....
So Australians are the worst of the worst? makes sense... I know a few who would fit the description
Photoshopping?
Greenwich is a London borough.
I don't think there have been any hamlets in England since the 16th Century. The Prime Meridian doesn't just happen to pass through Greenwich, it's where it was established.
Upper Egypt is "upper" because it's in the upper (upstream) region of the Nile river.
Yea, have you seen some of the "crap" those goobers have been turning out?
Why do we find passing wind funny?
