Ozymandias "And so it was written it shall come about. For you Ryk insight shall be my gift to you... yes a Honda Insight - You know the one with the punchy 3 cylinder 1 litre aluminium block and the shrouded rear wheels. Look on my hybrid, ye Mighty, and despair."

Be careful of buying cars to sell later when needed... I don't know of any $1,000,000 car that can be 'sold' or even given away... I had lots of cars worth millions just sitting around and yesterday I was short on cash to buy a car, so went to sell a Ferrari... and could not sell it for cash... so if you wanna stock pile some cars for easy cash, be careful of what you buy as overstock.

You could always start a collection in the market place for ferrari f40`s and sell them for like 150k a pop I believe. I hope you have alot of friends feeling generous haha. Good luck

In a nutshell

Online races - advance days - So don't race online if you are stuck for time

Seasonals pay very well - But like a Aspec race, they advance the days 6 cars per race.

- Log on - on consecutive days - but don't race until you have the 200% bonus -
Use those BSpec drivers, got a spare 20 minutes run a few mates BSpec drivers - you never know when the small cash they build up will be useful to your funds.

Pick a race you can win - and will win in. Now is not the time to prove who good you are in a Muira with crossply tyres -
For me this currently would be the BSpec Suzka race, as it nets just over million so long as your driver can win...
For BSpec the SSR5 650PP race gave big dollops of kaz credits

- However don't host Remote races yoruself as you cause the used lot to tick over one day. (So handy if you want to advance your days and help your pals out.

LOOK ahead - or just knowing your car list (Look at CLIBBY's signature) and where on it can let you scan the list... Cover up the column with the names if you want the surprise.. but watch the "Cost" collumn... then sneak a peak back at what car it is - and what day.
Make a note of it and work out how many days you have to play with.

-

Cheers to everyone who helped in the above thread too. Most educational.

It might be handy to note here that the Seasonal Time Trial and Drift Trials do NOT advance the day counter. Additionally, the previous TT and DT stay up for 14 days after the closing date, or when replaced as the *old* event pair, and can be run for credits (but not Leaderboard, obviously) in that time (it prompts a couple of times to tell you so - just click through).

The full payout through gold can only be won once each, but if you had none done at all, that's up to 8 million with the full login bonus - or 4 if you can't drift :guilty: - a single TT pair is 2 million, and no day advancement (or indeed miles on cars, IIRC).

Very handy for quick cash. As mentioned, Remote Racing is the gift that keeps on giving - the Bank of Bob can save for you in advance!

Sorry for the necrobump, was looking for your track threads 👍

Actually I think getting cash is an easy task now, and the get GT5 friends to help you out becomes, and let them gift you the car as well.

But one thing you can do is create a stock of cars you can sell - Ferrari F40's are said to be the best but I would guess that you will lose 50% or so of the price you pay for them... but other GT Mates could send them to you...

Necrobump. Wasn't that on the B Side of the first Cannibal Corpse single?

That would have been the Exorcist, but it was just a Possessed cover >_> <_<

I would make a stockpile, but the 3-4 Bobs with over 10 million credits each make me go 'naaah'.

I remember Bob used to have to drive uphill both ways in the snow, in a 500F, to make less than a million credits in a whole hour. Well, it may have been a Minolta/FGT/X2010, but I was watching TV, so it was hard to tell... :D

Or checking over here - also based on the fine work by Duck, Famine et al, IIRC.

Ryk, get a USB stick. Copy the Gran Turismo save data from the XMB to USB.

Then, get some B-Spec Remote Racing friends.

Host a whole bunch of races yourself, use the Grinder (can take a few days for the Friends List to fully sync). Don't worry about the game days advancing, you have the save. Hopefully now people will reciprocate and your drivers will start bringing home the bacon.

Do NOT cash in on your Bobs. You also get the 200% on Bob's earnings. It's like a tax er bonus or something. Let them get up to a decent amount once they're up there reload the save data from your USB stick. Bob's money is still there because his earnings are stored online until you cash in.

Wham bam you have the cash and the game days haven't advanced.

FR me, DitQuois, and I'll gladly add you to the always race list for my B-Specers.

It was an old problem - I just got online, and so discovered the ultra high prize money everyone else has had for the last 14 months, then whammo spotted the 2J ion the used car area, and I was short of cash... I think because I had just splurged on the Rally cars.

Getting cash wasn't the problem but geting 8 million in 4 days or whatever was the problem. I didn't even have a 200% income bonus back then either... Gah, I used to think getting 83,000 for 5 laps of Deep Forest in a European sports car was a bit over paid... How little you know when you are stuck in your cave offline eh?

I thought I would tidy up the whole episode, just incase someone else found themselves stuck.

I know tend to race my GT5 Friends BSpec drivers a couple of times when I Have the PS3 on but I am not "At console" - I think my Drivers have high level a full career bar and huge grey lost skill bits on their talent bars. But they still have the skills to earn Momma some cash.

Cheers for the offer though. British but on Mount Royal? Who would have thunk it.

I should also apologise I didn't look at the original posting date. Was just browsing and saw it had recent activity.

Didn't delete it because it might help out someone else if they stumble upon it.

And yes a Brit on Mount Royal - a rare occurrence but it does happen!

I'm guessing that you do not wish to get a 1970 Birthday Ticket and backup your save before opening and repeat until you get the 2J? That is, by far, the simplest way to get the 2J without buying it. As there are only 12 cars available with that ticket, with a little luck, it does not take very long to acquire it.
