After the sucessful of Tokyo Highway battle and Kaido battle
Genki will have a new racing game coming out on PS2 later this year, called Cirucit Battle.
Now much news about it, but from www.genki.co.jp web, it looks sweet.
Yes the game play may be different as GT series, but Genki's racing games are among the best out there, since the 1st PSX version of Tokyo Highway battle. :)

Yeah~ I've read about it on some game website~

It plays like Tokyo Extreme Racer with the SP bar thing or something? But you get to compete against several cars instead one!! (Though the site didn't know much about it either...) And instead of a freeway you get to do it on race courses or something...... I hope that info was for real... (Blame IGN if it is wrong, I think
)
Anyways..... US, Europe Release of Kaido Battle 2, To Be Dated?
Is that some joke or are they actually doing something about it?
(Genre is Samurai Action? :dunce: WTF?)

We (I mean Europeans) always get the harsh treatment when it comes to release dates/releases. What's it all about? Does anyone know what criteria a continent or country must have in order to sell these games. I do know that certain games like dancing sims and Mah jong are mainly sold in Japan due to likes/dislikes and culture, but this is a racing game after all . Sheesh

Yes instead of mountain roads or freeways, they moved to race courses now.

Are you talking about the game that is the top game on the right side of the screen in the link you gave?

At least Europe is getting the F1 and Rally games.

Yeah... The U.S. needs some rally racing for the PS2... And plus... nobody out of Japan got Kaido Battle 2... And who knows what will happen to this game..

I don't really go for rally and F1 games, but at least those crowds will be happy about your announcement. All I give a damn about is the release of GT4 man.

Oh, didn´t you hear? GT4 was cancelled for Europe :P

But I love rally games, it´s a shame they don´t release NTSC copies, I really enjoyed WRC4 trailer. Lucky me it looks like Enthusia´s rally mode is gonna be fun.

That new Genki game looks sweet. Also there is a rally game for ps2 that i bought a couple of months ago. Its called WRC and they have it at gamestop's for like 13.99. Its a fun game but there is no compatibility for a wheel which was kinda dissapointing.

Yes, it's better to have, like for the Brits, a good game 6 weeks later than not having the game at all like us in North and South America.
But you know, British people are always complaining :)

The tuning interface looks cheap ... worse than SB01 and KB2
I don't like the sfx you go thru the menu ... hope they will fix that
btw, I am looking forward to tune some minivans, they do look fun .....
it seems this time you can put lots of decals on your car and you can choose tuner companies' specific parts ... maybe giving different performace?

woo
this game can install aftermarket meters!!
should be fun

as i remember in highway battle 0 or 2 i forgot, they have water temp already, but this time you can even install different manufacture's gauges!!

little off-topic
after C1 battle, Juiced, midnight club 3, Enthusia, plus maybe GT4 Online ....
probably no more racing games coming out for PS2
but this year is racing games heaven
