Gentlemen's Agreement Series

Round 2: Seattle Circuit (6 laps)

cctrseattlegr1.gif

Deadline: 3 July 2007 @ 23:59 GMT

Please, read the rules carefully and look at the points table to see the weight penalties you carry for Round 2. I really can't be more explicit than this.

Car Settings
  • Power: +20%
  • Weight: refer to points and penalties board below
  • Tires: Sports
  • TCS: ON or OFF
  • ASM: OFF

Rules

  • Standard Online Racing Rules apply.
  • No Cheating, Hybrids, or anything similar.
  • Run the car according to the mentioned settings (power and weight).
  • Try and keep two wheels on the road at all times. No shortcuts.
  • No wall-riding. It slows you down.

Seattle Circuit :: Race Settings

  • 6 Laps Race (Arcade Mode/Single Race);
  • You can select this tire compounds: S1, S2 or S3 (any combo also allowed);
  • AI will start with same tire compound as you;
  • Set AI difficulty as low or high as you wish. I prefer a bit of a challenge :) but that's just me!!!;
  • Set tire wear to STRONG;
  • Set penalty to SPEED LIMITER;
  • You can discuss lap 3 time like this: 1'11.111;
  • Send me a private message with your total time and all (6) lap times.

A lot of drivers missed this round. Hope the participants list improves in Round 3. Thank you all and congratulations to all the podium drivers. 👍

seattle <3...damn i will start testing in a few minutes. really looking forward for this round

edit: okay, after couple of testing laps i went on first run...trying to drive relaxed, no aggresive maneuvers :P...3rd lap: 1'38.682...i think i forgot to set softs for tires though...i will update later...

Greetings Don Jose,
I shalt not be tardy this week, as I see I have a lot of ground to make up! But Seattle is a venue of infinite joy for me! I shall acquit myself well!
Watch your mirrors gents! Something wicked this way comes!
Excitedly
Fangio

I'm willing to try it. Injured hand and all. ;)

Cheers,
A perservering Jetboy

I like the track, but that last chicane always confused me. I either go in too hot and smack the wall or go in too easy and kill a fast lap.

Glad to see some of you already started racing. Sorry for the delay and remember you can discuss lap 3 time. :sly: Don't forget the weight penalties please, for those who placed top 5 in last round.

GAve it a try in the 2002. Third lap time 1'52.802. I have left bucket loads of time on the track! Whose idea was this weight rewards thing anyway?

EDIT*

new test times:
330i Lap three 1'47.819
SL600(R230) Lap three 1'41.794

Am I the only one with nothing else to do this week? I feel kind of pathetic.

Hi daddy-o

I've been really busy this week, so I've managed to do one race with the 120d in the first day of this round...

Thought you're using the M3 GTR instead of the SL, like you asked on one of your posts in the main thread.

I thought that it was the will of the group that I keep the M-B. I will gladly switch, even though I got a 1'43.409 on the third lap in the M-B. I can control the massive wheel spin. No worries, let me know. I'm flexible.

I think no one opposed that you changed car. I just couldn't keep your points, when you used the wrong car for one of the groups. You have to maintain the same car, in order to receive points every round. Let me know your choice ok???

Hey everyone. Been dealing with a blackout due to the rains here in texas so I haven't been able to get my runs done.

Greetings One and All!
I think Seattle would be much more enjoyable in the rain, rooster tails spewing from the cars, great puddles of the wet stuff scattered about! But alas 'tis not to be! Nonetheless!
My competition was a particularily agressive group of TVR's and an 86 RUF. I was especially irked at a Griffith that was blocking me like Orson Welles at an all you can eat buffet. Anywhere else, black flags would have been the order of the day.
My third lap was my second fastest, and I was quite pleased with my Germanic slot car! Taught those Brit's a thing or two! My time was, I thought, a rather respectable 1'43.461. I hope it stands up to all you young hot shoes! Tally Ho! Fangio Rides Again!
Exhuberantly Yours
Fangio

crap...my joystick is broken..suddenly L1 and R1 stopped working...so i used friends one. now i returned it back and i tried to use mine...but....arrows dont work and neither X,square,circle,triangle? what the...i tried to repair it, but didnt help yet.i will try again and again...

edit: lol, okay i borrowed it back from the friend, so i am back in game

okay and unexpected edit: my dad is taking off my pc (okay that wouldnt suck so much) but hes also taking off my tv so gran turismo 4 is unplayable...due to my final grades...and dost ask for them...so i am withdrawing from whole competition :( im so sorry,... i wish good luck all of you

Awh crap man, sorry to see you go. :( You provided stiff competition! Uhm..well, I'm going to try to get my runs in tonight. Granted I don't fall asleep before I get back online (Worked nine and a half hours today, physical labour, on a semi-truck. Imagine this: the tires weigh 290 lbs, filled.) Man I barely have any time anymore. :lol: I'll catch you all back later tonight.

Cheers,
Jetboy

Man, that must be frustrating. you seemed you would have excellent competition in here as well as the P1 battle. Well, good luck to you and I wish you the best.

It's sad hearing you can't compete anymore... at least until you improve your grades ;)

It would be interesting to see the results from the 2nd round, since you were a big surprise in the 1st as a new comer 👍 👍 👍

Sorry for confusing you guys,..let put it on: dont count me off of G3, withdraw me from G2, i am gonna continue, if anything happens, i will let you know.

Yes, I accept all the times submitted by PM. Hope you can continue to participate even if you put all your efforts only in G3. 👍

4 and a half hours 'till deadline and still missing times from: Jetboys427, RACECAR, lukeallen92, gz, SERGE.DENAYER in G3; Jetboys427, gz, SERGE.DENAYER, Avery GT and lukeallen92 in G2.

I received your PM around 7AM, the results were posted near 4AM. I only saw it when I returned to the computer in the afternoon after you send it :ouch:

When you guys don't submit times until deadline, you leave me in a hard situation. It would all be fine if no weight penalties were rewarded, but this way I'll have to change everything and participants that already completed their races will have to race them again :crazy:

Well, I'll do the math and I'll change the points board!!! :indiff:

Greetimgs All.
I doff my helmet to those that occupy the podium this week! I am most distressed. I fear I am 5-6 seconds slower per lap than the next fastest M3. I shall endeavor to do better, although I would appreciate any tips that other M3 drivers would care to share.
Good luck this week, good sirs.
Fangio
