On amateur series how do u get a pick-up truck for pick-up challenge

You can buy one from the UCD, or trade for one on the Marketplace 👍

Toyota Tacoma X-Runner '04
Chevy SSR '03

I have won the Amateur races with all three of the above trucks.

You can win one with all Bronze on the Ia license test. It is the Dodge Ram 1500. It can win the Sport Truck race in the Amateur Series

You can win the truck races with any of the trucks in the game if you upgrade them enough. So as long as you can get a truck, ANY truck, you should be set. If you don't have online, I'd say go bronze all of the I-A license tests. If you can't do that, your only option is to keep cycling the used car dealership until a truck pops up. But getting all bronzes on those license tests is a pretty easy thing to do, if you can't do that then I think you may have a bigger problem than not being able to find a truck lol.

The Dodge Ram handles very well. It actually handles too well. I don't think it's accurate to real life. It can handle the bumps and twists through Nurburgring without batting an eye.
