Getting booted with no reason?

couple of days ago me and a friend were racing in some lobby, he won by 4 sec and i beat the host by 0.009 sec.
after the race i see him leave, and think 'hmm weird', next thing you know i get the boot.
why would people even host if they can't stand losing, i mean you can't always win (well i can't)

When I am hosting I warn drivers (when I see their on road actions myself) if I am considering booting them, before I do; sometimes they smarten up :)

I think it is even worse when the room is called something like "uk only or kick" I mean …why? are some people scared or something? If I open a room, people from all over the world join me, and I enjoy that. I do understand if someone wants to host a room only for friends, but what about the private lobby, can those people not just use that one instead?

Sometimes they may think it reduces lag issues?

Oops, sorry for the double post!

if you constantly get kicked...check your internet connection.

a) you may have lost the connection temporarily. If there was no explanation or clue beforehand don't automatically assume the lobby leader kicked you.

b) you may have bad lag. No one wants to race against laggy racers. They bounce all over the screen and crash into other drivers unintentionally. You can't pass a lagger because you will get ping ponged into a wall. If you get accused of ramming or dirty racing and everyone you pass seems to end up in the wall...it's pretty safe to say you are lagging...your racing line may be perfectly straight, but other drivers experience you bouncing around the track and racing in a zig zag manor. Plug your PS3 in directly or get a better internet connection.

c) the lobby may have crashed. It happens. everyone gets booted. Look for it again and rejoin, or start your own lobby if you don't want to get booted.

As for picking rooms in different countries and getting booted...that is to be expected. You can almost guarantee there will be lag if you are racing someone in a different continent. I wish there was a way to restrict public lobbies to specific regions.

It's people like you that I can't stand too...
It's only a god dam gamn....

It takes time to get back into another online game....that's what I'm pissed about.

Are you god? Why do you feel the need to boot people?
Just because they bump you? boohoo....
Just because they use a car that outclass your? boohoo
.....and "not race cars"......boohoo.....

Unless someone is being races or uses too much profanity....I really don't care....heck, i just mute the guy....

You and your booting powers.....get over it....

You also have to remember. You can start a vote on whether or not somebody gets the boot. Perhaps it isn't the owner of the room, but his fellow racers that didn't like the lack of driving skills. I started a few of those votes.

I will leave a room if i see the person doing this. I had one guy come out and state to the leader he wouldn't win the race. He would kick him before the race ended if the leader was going to win.

I also leave rooms when the owner is beating on my car to keep me from passing him.

When I run a lobby, I'll usually tell you when I'm kicking you out. They way people drive, I'm sure they usually know why they get the boot.

I spent about 15 minutes looking for a Super GT race the other night. I could only find one and it was a Japanese server. I joined it. There were about a total of 13 players in the room. They were all Japanese except for myself and one other player in the room. We were both US. The race was about to start and I was excited but suddenly the other US person was gone and then a couple of seconds later I was kicked. No explanation but I'm pretty sure why it happened. Took me about another 15 minutes to find a different Super GT room. :(

Weird, Japanese people are usually less likely to kick you from what I have experienced.

I got kicked from a free run/trade room before it'd even loaded. If you don't want people joining a room put the word PRIVATE in the description.

I hate when people kick me out of a lobby for the simple reason of winning the race. I had some really good races and I'm getting ready for the next race and I get the boot. Also when I get kicked out for not having a headset.

Tell me about it. Got kicked for finishing 1 min 20 sec ahead of 2nd. Heard guys on mics saying to kick me and guess what? I get kicked!! 🤬

i actually got kicked 3 turns ahead of the finish, 10 laps laguna seca, me in my 458 Italia, leading several super GT cars, i noticed the host left the race and few seconds later i was removed

Get a headset, its worth it. I use my BT ear piece i originally bought for my cell phone. It makes online racing so much more fun. Getting kicked for not having a set is a little lame but I understand it. Some people like to communicate while driving. "coming up on your left" for example. Letting other drivers know where you are (in moderation) is similar to having spotters on the track. It also adds to the social aspect of the game. People chat and share tuning setups...but when someone is silent they appear as an outsider.

Why would you want to race with people if you finish over a minute ahead of them? If that's the case you are probably not running a car in the same class as the other drivers. I'm not saying that is the case with you...but I've seen people booted for driving RM/RC cars in a lobby that says "street cars only".

I've accidently bumped the host on Tsukuba and been kicked before the end of the lap. The only reason I was behind him was because he pushed me out of the way on the previous lap. Good riddance I say. I messed around with public lobbies for a while but now I just start my own lobby and tune my car until others join. If someone races clean, is polite on the mic, and generally runs similar lap times, I send a friend invite so they can join me another night. Now it only takes 10-15 minutes before there are enough people in my room.

It's just a game and part of racing. If you're not bumping, you're not racing.
I can't remember how many times I've got bumped from top 5 to dead last. Do i get pissed? Heck yeah but I won't boot people just because. I just have to try to catch up and not be the last car to the checkered. :)

So come on people....it's not that bad being bumped.....

A little accidental tapping here and there is OK, as is rubbing to hold your line. Missing your brake zone and using the car in front of you to stop is unacceptable behavior. I've had people do this to me repeatedly, and if I'm the leader, you'll be kicked after the 2nd time. Learn to brake, learn to pass clean, or find another room where that crap is tolerated.

All of this is the same as being in a raid on a MMORGP people get kicked for no reason, others do dumb things and get kicked.... It is the way of online gaming.

I have been booted a few times the latest one just a few minutes ago. The room was a mess host had left and room was running auto start. Guys running backwards causing trouble. I got cussed after one race when I crashed head on into a backwards racer because I hit someone. Told the guy what happened and raced 2 more times without incident, sat out one race went back in and there was a new host, got booted. No reason just someone on a power trip I guess.
