i seroiusly need help, how do i get my psp online? i got as far as getting it connected with my router, but then got an error saying something about timing out trying to find the IP. I kept trying, and i kept getting it:banghead::ouch:. i tried fiddling around with the settings, fiddling around with the router, and i can't think of any other solution:(

any help appreciated:tup:

edit: whoops i accidently put this in the ps3 forum:dunce:, moved:)

Make sure your WEP or WPA key is matching on your PSP and router. Make sure your IP numbers are correct. This is my setup:

IP address: 192.168.1.xxx
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default Router: 192.168.1.1
Primary DNS: 192.168.1.1

What security do you have? I had WEP-TSIK, and even though it found the signal and I entered the password correct, it kept timing out trying to confirm it.

i use automatic as i have a dynamic IP, and i don't know the other stuff

that's my problem, do you have any solution by some chance? i've tried no security, and i've tried a WEP.

Ah, then you might need to somehow set up the PSP everytime you want it to go online using "scan"

Since i got my psp back i get an "Internal Error" when connecting, i guess i can't go online:(

Send in your psp to Sony, since you're not planning to hack your psp they'll fix the Wifi unit.
Yeah, it does sound like a Hardware issue, lthiele. If your previous PSP didn't give you this message, and you didn't change any more settings on your router between the first and second PSPs, then it must be the device itself.

After a 5 minute look on Google, I came up with this as well:
