I can enter a race and race for maybe 10 sec and I just get disconnected.. first i was using wireless connection and now I'm using a wired connection and it still happens..

I will say like 2 months ago everything was fine I joined a friends lounge race and messed around for like 30 min with no issues.. Now I can't do anything useful at all..

What else should I try?

similar thing happened to me recently also, but mine is not after 10 sec,it can happen anytime, even after a few race and suddenly the screen turn black and says "You have been disconnected from lobby server"

I'm going to try one more time this time the modem connected to the PS3 and if it still fails I just give up..

the online on here is so broken anyways... I mean we can't search at all...

I guess it's back to racing AI cars.

Yeah its been happening to people since release havent fixed it yet. We got helmets and race suits though.:banghead:

I get this too!

PD really need to listen and communicate with their extremely loyal community, and Kaz needs to stop pretending he is some type of God who always knows best!

Wake up and smell the Coffee!

He better pray that Forza4 doesn't have great realistic physics cos I for one will be going to to the other team who listens!

Sort it PD.

Btw Load times have increased too!

It looks like all of their tire data was given to them from Pirelli, I would say tire physics wise they are going to good at that at least.

You should try clearing your cache or disconnecting your modem. I havent encountered any problems, other than insanely long load times, hope this helps.

Clear your cache before going online, if you insist on entering rooms outside your area used a fixed conection otherwise stay local.
I was in a room run by a guy called Kingsavenue from 10:00 yesterday morning [both UK] we had a couple of issues he handed the room to me then rejoined and we were still racing at gone midnight 14 hours later, on stopping for drinks meals and Top gear. Im still on wireless as well many foriegners entered and we had no problems, an absolute great days racing.

Edit: And always look at the signal strengh on the R/H side of room before entering, look for a full 5 bars if possible.

Ok I cleared the cache so far I did a lap around daytona but the real race did not start yet so I can't tell for sure yet.

Nope still getting disconnected...

we are a team of friends and some of us often get incompatibility/ connection problems.
I love to play this game online, among friends. I would pay a reasonable amount/year to play without issues.

Yes the GT5 online it's free but it's also, often, frustrating. :grumpy:

It has been 6 months since we have these problems...

The only way I could play is if I connected the modem direct to the PS3.. but thats no good because my other computers and wireless devices are unable to connect.

I'd clear up your title as well as your cache haha:tup:

It could be your NAT type on your router do you know what it is?

@RoadRunner99 Love your sig!

I'm not sure what the NAT type is on the router.. UPnp is turned on

To check tour NAT type, go to network settings on your ps3 and then click "Internet Connection Test" your NAT type will be displayed at the bottom. NAT type 3 gives the most problems.

I use to get disconnected all the time. Ever since the update it just freezes all the time instead. Also it does this thing where almost ANYTIME someone else in the room is "doing" something like tuning, changing their car, while I try to do the same. The game has to let them finish before my Tuning menu or garage will load.

I never had NAT 3 when connected to the router its always NAT 2

Someone tweeted Kaz about it (Kaz tweets thread) so I'm sure PD is working on the issue. Wouldn't be a bit surprised if it's what caused the delay in shutting down Prologue servers, but who knows.

lol sorry unrelated LOL I saw you in one of the lobby's last night online haha name is easy to remember.. I think in the room I got as far as pressing drive and the car driving out of the pits then poof!

If you have access to your Router, you might want to check and see if you can get your PS3 into the DMZ. I was getting booted randomly and after setting my ps3 to the DMZ it hasn't happened.(Knock on wood)

i've been having the same problem. Been trying for around 30-40 minutes to race, but so far i've watched 2 half races (Before being disconnected before the finish) and joined about 4 seperate lobbies before being disconnected before the race start.

I've just got my G27 today and I just want to race with it. The chances are i'm going to finish last place as i'm still practicing, but I don't want to race AI, I want a good benchmark.

EDIT: I just got a message saying "You have been blocked from this room" or something along those lines. Does this mean I got kicked before I had chance to enter a room and change my car to regulations?

I've only been using GT5 online for 2-3 days now and I must say, it is really poor compared to what I was expecting. Not the level of driving, that's always poor. I just mean the features, reliability etc.

This issue is still pestering me.

I get disconnected 90% of all lobbies I join!

My NAT type is 2 and my bandwidth normal, according to the game.

I have cleared the cache, reset my modem and still it continues!

GAH! 👎

This gt5 thing is BS, the game seems uncomtibale with everything.

Deol, what kind on internet connection do you have, router, and have you open ports and give ps3 static ip?

As far as i know, i had to open ports manually and give ps3 static ip to get "okay" performance.

It's wireless and UpNp is enabled, and yes open ports. Funny thing is, it's only started disconnecting since the last update. Hopefully with this next small update they can fix this issue 👍 .

I've been getting this a lot.

Seems like pre-1.10 patch (or maybe 1.09...I don't know) I've been getting disconnected from lobbies all the time. Lately I've been just setting up my own lobby (a free run lobby I should note).

Seems like all the lobbies I want to join all have no bars, yet all the drag racing rooms (that I HATE) are 3-5 bars. WTFH...

its Patch v1.10.. im with you.. the patch needs to be here earlier then the end of the month, its ridculous, I dread playing the game anymore due to the freezing, the garbage voice qualities, the black screening, and the disconnecting.. it pisses me off to
