I can't stand the amount of dirty racers out there, it's very annoying to be in the same lobby with these people, and that's not even the worst part. The worst part is that a few friends and I always have a lobby open, and it is called "CLEAN RACERS ONLY" and yet they still join and race like morons, whether it be ramming others off the road, driving backwards or even forming roadblocks. I guess it's time to just have a lounge set up so only friends can join, I wish more people would just race in a clean fashion, this is Gran Turismo not Burnout. If anyone that wants to race clean, feel free to add me PSN- Bloodshot_718, we usually have a lobby open everyday, but like I said I might just switch to running a lounge to avoid these people that can't race properly. Hopefully this thread can get some people to join my room for a good clean race. I'm not sure if this thread is in the right place as I could not find anything in my search, so my bad in advance lol END RANT

EDIT- I can understand if I accidentally get bumped or something along those lines, but anyone can tell the difference between ramming and an accidental bump, we all make mistakes here and there, just wanted to make that clear lol

What cars do you normally use? I find the faster the car, the bigger proportion of idiots. Slow it down and even though the cars are more closely matched and positioned on the track there are less incidents.

You could always try the online racing league and series thread to create or join a clean room.

Probably worth changing the title of the room to "Clean or Kick". That usually gets the message across. Also, prior to the race starting, tell the room (while on mic) to report people who don't race fair.

Personally, I join other rooms as it's easier to just leave if it's not up to my standard. By hosting the room, you're always stuck moderating and it's hard to enjoy the racing that way.

However, the best thing to do is to join the people on here - GTP members. If you open a room to the world, you're gonna attract the 11 year old plebs who think it's funny to wait 20 minutes for a race to start, then after 10 laps of racing, start going backwards.

I only race with the members of my MR2 owners club, as there's about 10 of us, we're all mates, all mic'd and all adult. That makes a huge difference. Never had a bad race when playing with those guys.

Very true 👍
1000bhp attracts the idiots. 300bhp attracts the race fans.

SRF off removes a huge number of idiots too. It seems they struggle to form roadblocks when SRF if off, so they stay away. Also very true 450pp-550pp seems to keep the idiots away, the lower the PP the more sensible the players seem to get.

I was bumped of the track twice in every race I was in last night in a room limited to sports tires and 550PP.. It sucks.

Try using only Super GT cars since they're easy to handle and a bit slower then other cars. Normally is ok.

You just need to find the right lobbies. A lot of races I race in are filled with clean racers only. If you just pick a random lobby, there are bound to be punters lurking in them too.

Ideally trawl the racing section on sites just as these. If you find a good clean lobby, add some of the drivers on PSN, this means if they are on when you are on, you can just join their lobby, because chances are they race with likeminded racers all the time.

Super GT slower than other cars? You mean like Le mans cars, f1 cars and the X1? :dunce:

[edit] apologies for the double post.

Yep, not to slow as well so you can run decent length races and don't take 5+ hours just to finish the Nurburgring Nordschliefe lol.

I agree that super GT is a good specification to run, as you have a good number of cars to choose from with very similar performance, plus they look good on the replays. :sly:

Try to race with the same group of people, you strart of with maybe 5 guys but they might also have friends etc, so you will have a very nice and big group soon

I guess it's the same as putting a 'don't steal' sign in front of a shop, it won't stop thieves from stealing.
Or maybe they're so thick they think 'clean racers' means taking the car to GT-Auto for a quick wash beforehand.
Fortunately there is an option to kick them if you or one of your friends is hosting or, like mentioned above, try finding decent racers on this site and go into your 'lounge'.

Look for lobbies with tire limitations, preferably Sport Hard. It's where I usually find the cleanest among the clean.

If you ask me they should implement a "Rate driver" function where you can rate someone's driving on a scale from 1 to 10. And then limit a room to players that are above 6 or have less than 10 ratings so you cant be unfair to unrated players. Also, users with a rating lower than 3 for example should have their rating privileges removed.

I hardly encounter all these annoying online players anymore. As have been said, look for rooms with tyre restrictions, penalty, damage, false start check, skid recovery force off and the Race For Real filter. Such room are a little hard to find though.

You have bad luck mate. I didnt meet any of morons online. Just one of my friends who can't loose :)
Try join lobbies that are mension above. I usually drive 300-500bhp races on sports hard.

A good tip is to build a web of clean drivers.

Find a nice lobby, people here host good ones. Or look for 450pp-550pp with sport rubber max, SRF off.

If it works out, add the host as a friend. Now you have one option, to increase your chances, start adding people in that lobby who seem to be driving clean, the chances are they know a few other people who host clean rooms.

Once you have about 5-10 friends like this, you can virtually guarantee someone will be racing in a good room every time you boot up the game.

I did this at the start, but over time my list has thinned out, so I'm building it back again. Add me(PSN:Freakyweakywoo), if I'm racing online, I'm in a clean room.

Yes, I believe a rating system works. I'm running a series which have a rating system, I call it battle rating where players rate each other after the race each other. Check us out at https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=211585.

We are a ladder which runs on Sports Hard Tyres.

I usually practice for the GTP FIA GT3 series in open my open lobby. The reason being the physics is slightly different. What bothers me the most is that I tell all random peeps it's a private room for practice your welcome to stay if you are clean and fair. Usually the first 2 guys are ok but once people see there are more then 4 guys in the room they think wow that looks like a good race room! It's usually listed free run for a reason because I never start the race. Then there all complaining it's taking forever to race.

Man I love the reject player button so much. I love as much as I love chocolate and chocolate is da bomb.

Now I practice in my lounge and retune my car before the race starts in the open lobby.

I understand your pain that this is precisely why I don't race online. The the console games it's nearly impossible to find a race where 100% of the people are going to take it seriously. It's a bit of a shame too as I spent a good bit of the last 12 years of my life not only racing online but participating in leagues and even creating and running one for 6 years. But those were all days spent using my computer simulations.

Now that the console games like GT5 and FM4 are stepping up the game and becoming more like Sims I'm finding I spend more time with them. I like the customizability and career modes and the fancy graphics don't hurt either.

I guess i should consider joining a league for GT5 if one exists but I just haven't been able to convince myself that I can devote the time I used to spend back in the day.

thats precisely one of the reasons i haven't raced online for a while lots of E-diots. Here's my PSN ID for online racing: scorcho589:tup:

only reason there is a massive amount of dirty racers is because there is a massive amount of 7-12 year old kids racing. Who suck at racing and know they cant win racing cleanly
