Getting the Hunter without 100 hidden packages

I a magazine, it said that if you just finish the "keep your friends close" misson you can get the Hunter.

I tried it and it is actually true. No need to spend ages looking for hidden packages just to get the nice heli...

i think most people already know this, and if im correct there is already a thread on this same subject
 
Well I have them spawn in Ocean Beach as well...:p

Which is the payoff for getting those 100 packages, no need to get the cop outfit and going all the way to Fort Baxter, or worse, just going to the base without the outfit. I wonder how many times I cheated death by going there without the cop outfit to get the Hunter. :eek: :trouble:
 
Hunter spawns at Fort Baxter after completing keep your friends close.. OR finding 100 hidden packages. If you do both it spawns at helipad near south end of first island as well.

I read it spawns randomly at fort baxter before either is done (but I never saw it)--this only a rumor
 
To get a hunter without the 100 packages is simple.

Go to the police station by the Malibu club, Then get into the cop uniform. simple go to the army base, and make your way to the Helicopter. With the cop uniform, the Army won't go after you.
 
Right, but you'd need to do "Keep Your Friends Close..." first, and no cop outfit will avoid you of that firefight! :D :eek:
 
Well, I got in once, I used the Sea Sparrow, landed next to the Hunter, got in it, lifted off...bullets everywhere, and then the Hunter blew up before I even flew past the main "Fort Baxter" sign. :irked:

LOL I hate it when that happens too, those dumba$$ soldiers can spawn at any given time and clobber you in mere seconds with their auto-aiming M4s. :odd: :irked:

--Get Helicopter To Save On Helipad
When this was tested, Spear was using either a Hunter or Sparrow, but that's
not saying that you can't do it with others helicopters, but these are the
ones tested, and the helipad that it was stored onto was the one on top the
Hyman Condo. It's a pretty simple trick really. First get the helicopter you
want to store. Approach the helipad. In this case the one on Hyman Condo.
Note that this hasn't been tested with any other helipad. Approach the
helipad from the right so that you are coming from top-right of helipad, ram
the Maverick off the helipad, so that it completely falls off the roof, so
yes you need to ram it hard. Before it blows up quickly land you helicopter
preferable pretty much spot on the H and get out, the game now, for some
reason "thinks" that the helicopter is the Maverick you knocked off and
stores it. Your helicopter should stay there and never disappear if done
right. Many different approaches have been tested and slightly changing the

It's very easy.


If you get 100 packages, then the Hunter will spawn at the north end of Fort Baxter base. To get it, it's easy if you wear the cop uniform that's available at the cop shop in Washington Beach.

If you complete the mission "Keep Your Friends Close" then the Hunter will also spawn at the north end of Fort Baxter base. Same story, you need to where the cop uniform to infiltrate the base and get access to the Hunter.

HOWEVER, if you get 100 packages AND complete "Keep Your Friends Close", then the Hunter will spawn at BOTH at the north end of Fort Baxter airforce base (which you need the Cop uniform to infiliatrate) and it will ALSO spawn at the helicopter landing pad at the very south of Ocean Beach (near the ligthouse).

Believe me people, it's that simple.....

100 Packages and it spawns at Baxter Army Base and a cop uniform will get you in without being shot at.

Finish "Keep Your Friends Close" and it will also spawn at Baxter Army Base, and a cop uniform will get you access to it without being shot at.

HOWEVER, if you've got 100 packages AND you've completed "Keep Your Friends CLose" then the Hunter will spawn in TWO locations. 1. at Fort Baxter Army Base which requires a cop uniform to infilrtate, and 2. at the Helicopter landing pad at the extreme south point of Ocean Beach.

If it's not there, then drive a few hundred yards away and come back. It should be there in full site, ready for anyone to hop in and drive awat and cause maximum mayhem all over Vice City.

Alright, it's very simple really....

What does the heli checkpoints things have to do with the hunter? As far as I am aware, NOTHING

Lock this thread? HA! We've been trying to get screwball threads that get brought up from when the Iatolla had a goatee for a long time. There's no proper mod on this forum, and I propose there should be. I asked neon duke in the music forum why he didn't come into this forum AT ALL, he hasn't replied...nor has he been back on GTP...he's been found out, he's gone into hiding in a small hole in the ground like Saddam. I propose a new mod, but Spuds wishes not to. Any suggestions, I say we have an election if we get permition from Jordan or something. :lol:

No, you're wrong.

A heli checkpoint mission will not spawn the Hunter. Either you found 100 packages or finished Keep Your Friends Close around the same time as you did that chopper checkpoint mission or you've been hitting the bong and you're seeing military helicopters where there are none.

Whether por not you were joking Jordan hand picks all mods so I doubt that would be possible.

I realise that, but I'm starting to really understand the Mods cracking down. We really need a proper Moderator for this forum. I've PM'ed Jordan about it, and I'm waiting for a reply. I'm just sick of how helpful threads like this get ruined.
