GFX Card problems...

So, I have a BFG 6800GT OC, which has been real good to me in the time that I've had it. Up until recently. It seems when I run some graphically intense game (HL2, Quake 4) I'll be playing, and all of a sudden, the monitor goes black. But somehow, the system is still running. I reset the system, and it gives me a long beep. I'm not exactly sure what it is, because Phenoix BIOS beeps are tricky to identify. It's quite a headache, too. Also, I have the latest drivers and such.

Can anyone help me on this problem?
 
Over heating I suppose?

Try knocking it down a couple of clicks on both the GPU and memory clocks.

Take the temperature of the inside of your case about 15 minutes after a reboot. Then play a game until the screen goes black. Take the temperature again. If you notice a huge difference, buy some case fans or try leaving one side of the case open.
