Ghost, ON Or OFF?

Off when I'm doing the licenses. Sometimes because it's slightly glitched at times. I go faster than my Ghost but get an even lower time than what the ghost got :/

I've run into the same issue in the license tests, and it is really annoying. If you just choose "restart" instead of returning to the license menu (as it does when you get a new trophy) then it doesn't update the ghost even if you have a faster time. Really dumb. I rarely remember to return to the menu after doing a faster time, so then end up with an out-of-date ghost that is really counter-productive. I don't remember this happening prior to 1.05, so it may be a recently-introduced problem.

Exactly. Before 1.05 you had the cup sequence even if you had already won it. That was really a pain...
Since 1.05, it's better, you win the cup only once but now there is this ghost glitch.

(Pardon my not so perfect english :guilty:)

Off. Yes, it does let you know whether a test/trial is worth continuing. However, if you determine that you should restart due to being slow then you miss out on the free extra practice that you would've gotten.

Sometimes I will use it and will give the ghost a slight head start so I can watch myself in a chase car and determine where I'm losing time.

You are right. Patch 1.05 introduced the "Replay" button after a trial that does not improve your medal. I thank PD for it, because it was very anoying to sit through the you-got-a-medal sequence over and over again AND having to re-enter the track afterwards.

However, if it does not save the ghost when you hit the replay button. As demonbug said, you have to hit exit and re-enter to have it saved.

I see people's points about them being distracting but I like to have them on. I only use them these days for time trials but frankly if I'm behind my ghost I'm not doing good enough. Also I find they help fine tune my breaking points.

Off 100% of the time... it's way too distracting (I guess I'm easily distracted). If I'm slow, I just keep practicing. OTOH, I use racing lines, so take that for what you will.

I think the ghosts are too dense. Can't see through them. If they used something more like Motor Storm ghosts they wouldn't be as much of a distraction.

I don't use it as a motivator or anything. I use the ghost a little bit to see how far ahead/behind I am.

What i do find the ghost most important for is if I'm behind it, i can see what i did wrong as far as my line, or remember where exactly i hit the brakes too late or too early :)

I left it on during licences, missed it dearly when doing the AMG challenges, and turned it off whenever I'm too close to it during the Vettel challenges.

So then I'm not crazy, right? There really are no ghosts in the AMG Special Event?

If there really aren't any, WTF??? It definitely needs to be patched. I'm working on golds now, and I desperately need split times for the events.

I got all Golds, I just used track reference points.
Or for full laps, I thought to myself that I need to overtake car X by this point etc.

95% of the time I have it off. I press the ghost button once every blue moon to see where he is then switch it off. I think the last time I kept it on for a full lap or two was during the Time Trials.

I turn it off, I get too aggressive and out-brake myself most of the time.
