Ghost (Shadow) Car??

I am not sure if this is a defect in my copy of GT3 or a feature I cannot get rid of!!

Sometimes when doing the driving tests, there is a 2nd ghost like car that starts off at exactly same position as my test car and then drives along side of mine and making it very annoying.

Is there a way to get rid of the ghost car?

I looked in the options and saw a setting for Ghost Car.. but even turning it OFF does not change anything.

Any suggestions?

Press the "Select" button in the middle of your joypad. This toggles the Ghost.

The Ghost is YOU. It's a replay of your best run (or anyone else's run you've loaded in as a ghost). On full lap tests - and when you're trying to beat personal lap records - the ghost is staggeringly useful (as is the Data Logger), as it allows you to see where you are losing/gaining most time, letting you concentrate on those areas.

after all the many many hours i put into GT3 i didnt know that:confused:
 
Just on the subject of ghosts, is there anyway to view the AI's performance in a time trial as a ghost? Complex string is doing bad things to my mental state.

As far as I know, no.

There are demonstrations of all the licence tests and Time Trial/Time Attack races, but I don't believe you can use them as ghosts.

If you have an Xport/Sharkport there are many, many TT10 replays out there for you to leach off... :D
