Gif animation wont work

Gif animations not working on IE or Firefox on all sites. What happend?

Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced > Multimedia > check Play Animations in Web Pages.

i Did that but still it wont work. My IE wont ever show the animations. It never did this before
