Gift tickets, backups and "duping"?

Sorry if this has already been covered, I can't use the search form in work, for some reason.

When you are awarded a gift ticket, like when you complete one of the tiers of races, is the car you get from that ticket pre-determined?

What I mean is: if I get a gift ticket and backup my save before I cash it in, if I restore my backed-up save and cash the ticket in again, will I get the same car each time or a different one?

The car is not pre-determined. If you have your save backed up before using the ticket you can restore if you don't like the car you get and have another go.

If you have a second account you backup, use the ticket, send the car to your main account and restore the save to use the ticket another time.

The level tickets from completing a series give a random car. You will get a different random everytime if you do the save trick. i did this with paint chips to get chrome. Good luck.

If you have another account then gift the ticket to that account aswell then you have two goes at it! I got the W12 Nardo from a 1000 ticket yesterday which I was happy with

Pretty much what you think, they paint your cars/rims...there are loads and loads of paints in the game. You get them by buying cars, gifts after number of cars in garage, and possibly signing in daily (although Ive never got paint from a daily login bonus)

Ok well it goes like this: for each 30 cars in your garage (30 60 90 120 etc) you earn a random paint chip color (usually a matte paint), the most prized of all (for me anyway) is the silver chrome paint chip which I proceeded to dupe at nauseam so I can have a chrome car for any occasion lol.

so what I did on my 2nd psn account was : I waited til I had 29 cars in my garage and backed up the save game to my usb drive and proceeded to buy the 30th car over and over restoring the back up and going again until I recieved the silver chrome chip. Its considered cheating but i'm not hurting anyone (maybe their eyes ).

Duping is exploiting. You are basically exploiting the ticket by backing up the gamesave and opening the ticket again and again to find a good car.

Yup. In exactly the same way that saving before the last race in a championship to get the car you wanted was exploiting in the prevoious couple of titles. Doesn't stop me doing it, though.
