So, back in the day before some pack of sister touching retards called Anonymous (or whatever) decided to give PSN a good e-fingering, I had a secondary PSN account.

This was used for the purpose of replicating paint chips then gifting them back to myself... yes, its a glitch, I dont care. The whole paint chip system is stupid beyond belief anyways.

Anyways, I had used a fake email address to create this PSN account.

Turns out I try to access it tonight for the first time since Anonymous herped and derped their way into the limelight, and the password needs changing.

FML for using a fake email address because I couldnt be bothered setting up another email account. I've now lost my Silver Chrome, Matte White & Matte Black paint chips, amongst other stuff :(

If anyone else has some of these spare, could I call upon some charity please? :)

Cheers all and happy e-motoring

Tim

That happened to my accounts too (including the one that I use as main profile) but fortunately I was able to restore passwords via sending a link to my normal e-mail (with nothing to do with PSN). Good luck mate!:)

Lemmy ask my B-Spec Bob "B.Egger" if he's willing to give you some chips.

Tried that... email address was already taken (someone has been getting my spam... oops!) haha

I suppose this should be a lesson for folks in the future: Don't bother with fake addresses. Really, it's a simple task of making a real one. I've created dozens and dozens at Gmail over the years. All of the bullcrap accounts that are there for just nonsense all share the same simple password, so they're easy for me to get into if need be and if something happens to them (someone "hacks" into them) it's no big deal because they're just bullcrap accounts.

At our house we have four accounts on my PS3, one being mine, one for my wife, one for my evil alter ego, and one for my dog, all using real email addresses. Yes, my dog is on PSN and GT5.

I must be the only person who didn't need to get an email with the reset code or anything, the second I logged in it asked me to change it and brought me to a screen to enter the new password. No need to go into my email at all..

Wow you're system must suck lol. Just kidding. I was able to reset the password on the system. Fake email adress which i didn't realise haha!. But yeah i had the chance to reset my fake account on the PS3

Mine just let me reset my main account on the system. I deleted all my fake accounts a long time ago.
