I have recieved a glitch suit / helmet and a gordon suit / helmet as a gift. I see many people gift these same items several times. How many times can I gift them without losing them? Is there something special I have to do? Does this apply to all gear or only these items? I want to share the love, but I don't want to lose the gear for myself.

You gift them as many times as you like, firstly save you game, quit out, backup your save onto a USB stick/ External Hardrive, boot the game back up and send the item, quit out of the game restore your save boot up the game and the item is still there.

if you go to where your games are then go up to save data utility, then scroll down until you find your GT5 save, then hit triangle the click copy and select your USB Stick/ Portable Hard Drive and it will copy it onto it, then to restore it go into the USB Stick/ Portable Hard Drive and your save will show up just hit triangle and click copy and it will prompt you that there is a save game there and will ask you if you want to replace, click yes and it will copy and you are done, it may seem slow at first until you get the hang of it and it get s quicker to do.

Yes.... Just gear. Paints are handled differently, they can only be gifted 5 times within 24hrs. Then of course you have the infamous car tickets, you can only give those once a day. But the gear, I've gifted myself several (12 or more) suits & helmets in a day.

Hi There,

As stated above there is no current limit on the amount of gear you can send in a day 👍 There is however a gift box limit for the person receiving the gifts they can only receive 50 items in the gift box before having to empty it before they can receive more. 👍

Ok Now I have another question. I tried using a portable usb stick 2gb to do a game save as described above. I put the usb stick into one of the open usb slots in the front of the PS3. I got some sort of usb device not recognized message. Is there somewhere else I need to plug it in? Are there certain brands of usb sticks that are compatible?

What format is the USB? It needs to be FAT32 to be compatible with the PS3.

I guess I have to figure that out. I have no idea if it is FAT32. Anyway to figure that out?

Insert your USB device into your PC. Then go to your USB device. Then right click, and select Properties. Then you should see what format your USB device is. 👍

What the heck is a "glitch suit"?

It's name is Double Stripe - 00. The "glitch helmet" is called Horizon - 00. I'm not 100% sure how to get them, but I'm sure someone else can clarify it.

Nevermind, I just figured out how to reformat in fat32. Thanks for the info and help. Again I learn something new.

^^ Well actually.... I just got home and tried it. Even after the fat32 format I still get a unrecognized USB device message. Any ideas?
