Okay, this is overly frustrating. I was pissing around when I realised my bios wouldn't respond to any keystrokes. So I changed keyboards and tried again. So, I have used both a Wireless USB keyboard, a Wireless PS2 Keyboard, and two different wired PS2 keyboards. Now I was rather pissed off. Assuming that I had changed an option, reset the bios. Now when it starts up it says, "CMOS checksum error - Defaults loaded" press F1 to use defaults, Del to enter setup or F9 for express recovery. So i hit del, nothing happens, hit F1, nothing happens, hit F9, nothing happens. Tried this with my large assortment of keyboards also.

PLEASE help me.

Thanks

Wow what a ****ing clueless retard. How about you get a clue and come back with an answer you **** tard :D Wow and I wonder why I left GTP....

Your CMOS battery is dead. Buy a new one.

You could have just searched on Google and found the answer within 5 seconds. I suggest you do that next time.

Thank you very much, but I have to say that I found nothing on Google. Whether I searched the wrong thing, I don't know. About 4 other forums were as clueless as me. Thank you again for helping me. I will purchase a new BIOS battery in the morning. Lets hope this works.

You created your own problem. You changed the BIOS settings. The computer can't save them to the CMOS because the battery is dead. When the computer boots, it finds two different settings, which results in a checksum error.

Replace the battery. Simple as that.
