This car has been in my ucd for a while now and it is available for 1,963,760 and I have 4,459,084 I want to save up for the fgt but I know that this car is quite rare and fast for that matter so the question is blow my bank on this car or save up? what do yuo think I should do? :nervous::nervous::nervous:

Go and do a few runs around Indy in Like The Wind and see how far behind the Gillet comes after only 5 laps. Rare, yes. Fast, absolutely not. It's a mongrel.

I would get it because it is rare, not because of it's performance.

I got one from my 1000 ticket if my memory serves me. Haven't raced it though.

I hope for the cars' sake that they've just implemented it badly in GT5. It's like most of its 913 BHP is spent powering the A/C and sound system.

I'm going to say no, I want to save up

If you're collecting cars, buy it. If you want to buy the best cars for racing, you should wait a while with this one.

Just reset the ucd I think it was the best for my mental state

I think you made the right call at this point in your GT5 career. The FGT is just more important.

If you happen to see it again later though, I would recommend buying it. Everyone here seems to hate it, but I can't fathom why. I won it with a 1000 ticket and found it to be incredibly fun. Maybe it's not as fast as the LMP and Group C cars, but it's still quick. Believe me.

For the collecting yes, for driving there are way better alternatives. Lot of understeer, I don't know how it is possible to compensate it with proper tuning...

Only because the standard gear ratio is set ridiculously short.

It's rare and fast. You should have bought. It's not turned up in my UCD for 3 months. You could have easily saved up for the FGT again and it will always be there.

Peanut-butter & Jelly sandwich for dinner, to eat or not to eat it???

It's good that you didn't buy it. Better LMP/Group C cars (like the Audis and the Perscarolos) cost around $4-4.5 million, depending on the mileage

I'm quite proud of myself because I always burn a hole and spend on something stupid and im so glad ive stuck with the descisioon of not buying it :)

Well I bought it (because you can make 2million Cr per hour in the last Seasonal of the K-cars)
=> went to Suzuka
=> had a blast, after changing suspension/Gears/LSD

145-151 kph through the Esses with Racing Softs is quit good I think. Plus it isn´t a LMP Car
=> its slower but its a very fast car in it´s Class (for me)

To counter understeer you need to do the following.

Max downforce at the front and slightly decreased rear.

LSD settings should be raised slightly.

ride height should be lower at the front than the rear

Spring Rate Weaker at front than rear

Extension should be strong

Compression should be weak at front and strong at rear

Anti Roll Bar Should be Weak at front and strong at rear

Toe should be In at front and close to 0 at rear

Camber should be Negative at front a 0 at rear.

Hope this helps

(Maybe shift brake balance slightly to the back as well)

From a "game progression" standpoint, it was a wise decision to pass on the Vertigo.

It's a fun (and cool-looking in my opinion) car that my B-Spec Bobs occasionally roll in for one the Endurance races, and a great car on the rarer side of things to add to one's collection.

However, you specifically need the FGT for a set of races, and it will get more use - unless you have a X2010 - towards getting through all the A-Spec/B-Spec races.

(You can also get one of the Ferrari race cars - F10 of F2007 - from a Level 24 ticket, a much better result from that ticket than the FGT.)

Peace...

the vertigo is nice looking car but its not going to beat any lms cars but a great all around car to race with and have in your colltion
:)👍

You should just save up for the fgt.
You're going to need it for the FGT Champoinship, so it would be better to save the 2mil.

*BTW, Grinding the new k-car seasonal yields 1,000,000 in 30 min,
2,000,000 in 1h, if you're really that curious about that car.

I love it, I just lowered it, added an extra 0.5 to the front camber, switched to racing hards and it's oversteers very nicely.

Hugely underrated car :)

^^^ This, and the people who say it's always behind on Indy, the stock gearing is set to 211 mph top speed, if it was set higher, it would be much faster, 914hp and has a great power to wieght ratio. its very very fast and handles nicely. I have loved this car since GT3, but really miss the red livery, instead of the new yellow one!

The reason it seems to suck is because you have to open up the gear ratios a little bit, which is easy by the way. It is constantly bouncing off the limiter in that particular race (Indy). That car has better potential than what the A.I. has to offer.

I don't have it yet because whenever it shows up for me, I don't have enough or cannot get enough credits. It's rare and I would get.

And a word of the wise for everyone. Do not go on the performance of a car based off of how the A.I. does. That's just a waste right there. The A.I. never tunes its cars and never pushes its cars to their limit.

I agree with most of the other posts, the car itself is fun to look at but not an impressive drive. Dissapointing actually.

I'd wait for another rare car to pop up into the UCD.

Thanks for the tips I have finnaly earnt my £5million for the fgt :)
