I need some settings for this car really bad. I entered the british light weight cup with a well tuned g4 about 240hp plus nitrous. I thought that the car would be very easy to handle but........that thing cant turn for love or money. The vehicle is very easy to spin out and even with low throttle it still burns the tires really bad. Can someone please help me.

Its VERY light, therefore you need the most grip you can get, soft will last you the whole race probably. Also you probably overlightened it/ overpowered it.

I didnt do any weight reductions at all. Its not that powerful cause i know there is people that use it with this much hp. I need some settings and should upgrade to s3 tires. If i could use racing tires in the race i would not have a problem probably.

have your tried not opening it up WOT after the apex? I was pretty sensitive w/the throttle when i drove it, and it was do-able, it was fully modded as well.

Because it is so light, you need to soften the suspension on tracks with curbs - like Hong Kong. Otherwise it will head for the sky when you hit the curb. For smoother tracks like Motegi, stiffen the suspension to aid the grip stakes.

But 240hp is way too much power for a car that light. I had mine at 150hp and it was handful enough.

i agree, you've overpowered it. the thing weighs 400kg for pete's sakes! i have a drift g4 with stage 3 weight reduction which has 165hp and it is pretty much perfect, and i haven't changed the spring settings. i'd say reduce your power level and/or use the brake a bit more, save the nos for straights only

but for what it's worth, i found settings that work on bryanh's "gran dorifto" s13 Ks 1800cc to be good, so maybe you could find a similar race setup (by someone good like Fumes) over on gtvault and adapt it to the G4

The steering on this car is touchy and it's something you will have to just get used to I think. I had a whole lot of fun with this car since I have no wheel, and the analog stick isn't exactly precise for steering.

just remember to brake a lot. After a few laps of nurburgring I got the hang of it but it was a big change from my M3 and other stickier cars. The are bastards and don't let you put a wing on it too. The car flies, literally.

Yep, I agree with both of you. It requires a slow in, fast out appraoch with particular emphasis on not outbraking yourself.

Using NOS will require careful braking consideration as you arrive at the corner much faster then you anticipate.

Yes, and with the 1964-vintage drum brakes all 'round, it doesn't like to slow down much at all. I tried to use this car at the Costa D'Amalfi milk run, but even with 150 hp it was too hard to keep pointed in the right direction and it likes to hop. I got into some spectacular spin/crashes coming down the front side of the hill on the forward course. I did beat the forward race with it but never managed to get the job done on the reverse course.

Really? Me and my bud won it just yesterday (had put the lightweight challenge off for long) and this car really flies, but it also handles beatifully!

We did Stage 3 weight reduction, racing suspension and racing gearbox, chip, racing exchaust, and a stage 2 or 3 turbo (don't remember, we got plenty of HP at least), racing intercooler... basically fully modded bar some parts (we haven't put NOS on any cars and not on this one either).

I think we set the spring rates around 7-ish both front and rear (that's quite hard, you need to soften it for uneven courses with bumps and stuff, that or be extremely careful) etc... it turns REALLY well and has power like mad (needed not to be outrun by american muscle cars on tracks with any kind of decent straight).

What you *NEED* to do is BRAKE in good time... you can use the pointers given by the game (the flashing gear indication) but you really need to SLAM the breaks at the split second it starts flashing or you'll go straight out.

If you learn to break it properly it's a driving monster of a machine... we love it!

thanks for the info ill try some of these setups tonight.

This is my setup, It works pretty well on certain tracks, but given its leightweight, avoid the jumps on Capri or Seatlle.

Settings for a maxed-out minimum weight Ginetta:

413 kg, 234 CV power/weight 1,783

tyres: f C2/r C2
springs: f 8,6/r7,4
ride height: f88/r88
bound: f5/r5
rebound: f5/r6
camber: f2,6/r1,0
Toe: f-3/r0
stabiliser: f4/r4
brakes: f10/r8
no downforce available
LSD initial: r8
LSD accel: r15
LSD decel: r10
TCS: 3
ASM over/under: OFF (off course!)
gearbox:
1° 2,323
2° 1,562
3° 1,298
4° 0,950
5° 0,747
(only 5 gears)
Auto: 10
final : 3700m (for 1000m: adjust for other tracks)
for information: this car does a 1000m test in 22,0 seconds

Let me know what you think about this setup.

- It was fine on Midfield
- Could easily beat all the Supercars (GT40, Mercedes McLaren) in the rain at Tsukuba (normal)

I'd invest in the brake controller. On Nurb, I rarely had it WOT except on the straight sections of the track, and I tended to brake more than what the game suggested, but I completely wasted the competition on the 1000 miles! You can try adding some ballast to help keep it on the road, but your performance will suffer on the straights. This is probably my favorite car in the game, even though it slides across the track like butter.

Just make sure to use racing tyres and it handles great. It does wheelspin but it still handles better than 95% of the highly tuned (over 900bhh) road cars in the game, even at over 1100BPH. Make sure you fully lighten it though.

I used to love the Speed 12 on GT2 and found it was far quicker than a Toyota GT-One around Rocky Road Speedway (or whatevet that track was called).

I ound that if I tried playing witht he settings it got slid all over the shop - left as default, it was grippy, predictable and was handleable.
