Girl Troubles For Me Too

In other words, its getting to be time to put this in the hands of a "Higher Authority".
You know how it is when you really want something and events conspire to make it impossible get?
Well, if something is "meant to happen" events will align favorably for it to happen.

For example:
When my wife and I moved to TN to go to College after I got out of the Navy, we had an apartment ready to go to. Or so we thought.
It turned out that the apartment was a poorly maintained, crackerbox, infest with slugs, rodents, and Lord knows what else.
My wife was in tears. I was disappointed, and school was starting in less than 10 days.
We did a lot of communicating with God. As this was a little rural town where loans were approved on the basis of the loan officer knowing who your daddy was.
Well, we found a much better apartment. It wasn't infested with vermin. It had working air-conditioning and heat, all the amenities, so to speak. It was also less than half the rent of the first place. And we were in, with all our stuff before classes started.
I'm saying all this to say, that whether or not you wait to advance your relationship, things will work in your favor if this is the right move to make. And they will work against you otherwise.
I know that this is putting a lot of faith in God, Karma, or whatever you believe in. But, Sometimes, that is what we have to do.
Still, my friend, Go with God. I hope this all works in your favor. You deserve a little happiness. :D

the very notion and mention of him infuriates me

i do agree that if its ment to happen, it will happen ( i just dont think god has anything to do with it)
 
Sorry man,I dont know anytihing about girls or making girlfriends :( BUT girls usually like rich guys,Like you own a Viper, Start driving it more then atract more girls on the streets! ;)

You sound it. The very fact that you're thinking so hard about this one rather than just blastin gin with the Viper and the cash is a real sign that you're a mature, decent person.

Der Alta has given you heaps of good advice - me and him have chatted about stuff before, and I can tell you he's got his head screwed on properly!

What you need to remember is that while you have superior resources, her family have their pride, and they will want to take her to Florida, and do things for her. OK, so you have more cash, and could fly them first class, and take them to top restaurants, but all you'll do is embarrass them by making them feel inadequate. You have to play it really cool, but use your resource in a thoughtful way. Regular flowers, and small gifts are great. Don't go for a huge piece of jewellery, think "cute". Cute is good, flash is not. We're two months before Christmas, so start finding things out about her for gifts. I'm not talking "Gold or platinum?", I'm talking "Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger or Piglet?"

Perhaps think about spending some time with her between Christmas and New Year - it's typically a wasted time that most people have on holiday, and it would give you a prime opportunity to spend some time with her.

Good luck mate, I think you're on the right track, and you've had some good advice. Now go into the big world and meet her. But if you can only manage one thing, make it this:

I agree that Der Alta has some very sound advice. He basically re-iterated every thing that I was thinking in my head.

I did kinda wanna work the sensitive and cute angle on this one. Im thinking a nice fluufy blanket with pooh and the gang on it.

Christmas is a very busy time for me and i am worried that i will not get the oppurtunity to see her.

And yeah, i tend to use GTP as my sounding bored to let the little bastard out in me.

I hate Christmas, but a lot of people love it. If you're busy then, well think about early in the new year. Or what about when she's actually studying? When you can go see her, and do the tourist stuff in her town, but meet her from class with hot coffee and muffins?

Thats the **** thing, when she has class, i have class. I dont get a spring break or anything. The only real break i get is christmas. And it is pretty much booked solid and has been since august allready. When i look at my scheduler i only have about 2 days available, christams day, and boxing day.

I can understand that with all that's happened. Further, I am not trying to offend.
That is why I added other options.
I still think you deserve some happiness, and the fairy tale ending. And IMHO nothing beats being in love.

C. Nothing like having the backing of both sets of parents.

yeah, i dont mean to be a ***** here, but i need to let it off somewhere, and a lot of people on the net piss me off and its very easy to lose your cool.

my folks dont give a **** about me anymore. Which is part of the reason i dissapeared for a while. i wont get into it too mmuch but basically they dis-owned me, i ran a quarter way across the country and tried to kill myslef in the end. I dont want sympathy or **** like that, and i know some of you dont care.

my parents dont care what i do now, they keep my account full and tell me to go do whatever the **** i want to cause they dont care anymore.

May I suggest a Windstar SEL? How about an Explorer?

On a side note, Andrew - I'm paying for a good portion of my girlfriend's graduate school education, and her parents honestly appreciate it. Her parents are actually good friends of my brother and his wife. If push really (really) comes to shove, offer to pay for something minor. If she starts living with you, make it real clear that her parents money is no longer needed when the daughter is living under your roof - it would give her parents reason to sleep at night...

...side note II: Do her parents have any other kids?

She had 5 other siblings, i guess her parents never heard of birth control. :lol:
 
I'm getting at the fact that it may not hurt to try and give a little money to help her family out - not on the family vacation to Disneyland (I suggest not even showing up) - especially with all the children they've got. You never know, the gift may just hit the spot for them. That said, it may not be worth the risk to find out.
 
Wow.. I don't think I even need to comment - you've gotten great advice from some of the guys here already. Take their advice (you know which ones I mean and which ones have no idea what they're talking about) and you should be fine :)

I dont think they would accept any money though,would you? honestly? Imagine you had a family with 6 kids and you have no money and your daughters 19 yr boyfriend wants to pay for everything. i think i'd be stealing his pride as a man.

Id give them 5 million dollars if they wanted it, its just money. I just want to be with her and have everyone happy in the end.
 
Yeah, maybe. My girlfriend's dad is kind of like Dudebusta, so he's got no actual pride, but I suppose that even if it would be stealing his pride, it would definitely ease the pain of all the money they need to make....

...oh yeah, and wire me $75,000, tax free - I need an M5, and i need it with someone else's money. :D

I should start a charity. Everyone writes in what car they want and why, then i pick out the top 5 every month and buy it for them :lol:

i'm crossing for the same thing as you.

i knew that girl by the phone,since the firts time i hear her voice i sayd to my self "that is what i want",she call to a radio station and she was so cute+lovely,her voice is like a angel song to me.

i call her ( she say the phone # in the air) the same night,and we talk by 6 hours (may be more) and both ( me & her) fell so nice,and since that day i talk to her every single night.

sometimes i fell to bad,or mad and i call her,she talk to me and when i heard her voice i calm down and everything turn to a nice way to me.

a year pass and we keep talking every night( sometimes 3/5hours), i'm 1 or 2 hours away from her,we are thinking about a day to the date.

she say i'm the one ,and i think she is,but i never could or would think about moving to same house with her, (never)cuz i know her by the phone but not in person,and that is big diference.

you can know her by phone even on person,but you never will know her untill you be long time with her ( be with her,stay with her family,know her friends and family,see the reaction of her to diferent situation or problems,see if she love you or to your money,this optional( even sleep with her)etc etc) you have to think and make one dessision about all thats facts,cuz all those points are facts to care about.

please don't show money to her or her family (that is not the way ) you have to be with her without spend all your money,if go to know her take her to the park,a lake, the teather or /and some sodas or ice cream.( that sound like child thing but is not)that work really good for me(i'm not a litle boy)
show her how much you really like her (without show your wallet)

listen to NEON DUKE, DELTA and GIL ( i think the are good in
this deparment)
