Oh you use a pad too !
I find it hard to do consistent quick laps on the pad, I'm all over the place from doing mid 1.34s to 136s with it. :crazy:

It's freaking hard to feel everything your machine does with the Dualshock. I'm used to telling her needs without it thanks to my later PS2 life but you can't do everything :(.

It does it's job but it can't do more than it allows me :(

I'm working with a different control setup from my usual tried and true method of mapping throttle and braking to the Right stick and shifting on the R2/L2 buttons.

I'm thinking of mapping throttle and braking to R2/L2 and shifting with triangle and circle (I'm used to freaky control schemes).
 
My DS3 setup is

Accelerate with L2.
Brake with R2.
Turn with left stick.

I use Automatic.

I coud've sworn you used MT :(

MT ain't too hard to learn (learned it initially on GTPSP with L/R triggers).
 
I use the R2 L2 for accel and brake & square & X for gears. I have kontrol freek thumb extenders too which helps ?

Twisted Metal has a weird yet effective control scheme:

Square for throttle, X for drifting or hard turning, O for braking, triggers and shoulders for weapons management/usage.

I love it :D
 
I prefer AT makes me focus on braking and cornering more.

MT allows you to control more of the throttle. It ain't too hard to shift either given the huge 🤬 speedometer/Tach GT5 gives you.
 
MT to me distracts me from cornering right and instead I wind up just thinking about the gears (I tried MT) and not getting corners right like I did with AT.

Also resh where is my mysterious teammate , I've not seen him on here ?? ..maybe he will turn up on saturday blitz the whole field then disappear again until nurburg :)

Depends.

If my presence is perpetual (Vacation plans are coming up behind my back :yuck:) I'll be duking it out with whoever stands in our way.

Pokemon Team X will be victors defeating your Plink Plonk and dano's MGT Racing too. :D and sparky will be moving to Pro :).
