I just got a job at a kart place, with honda engines that top out at about 40mph. If you really want to post fast lap times you will need to use the brakes, the gas and the brakes at the same time is bad it will put stress on the internal clutch and cause your accel to not be as good as it shoud be. If you are really slow around the track the fastest way to get your lap times up is to try to follow someone faster than you, watch and LISTEN to what his kart is doing, tire screeching is a bad thing if you are trying to go faster, but can be more fun to slide around the track. Most of all have fun an any way you can, if the track marshalls tell you something about your driving style, listen to them they know what they are talking about.

Nissan_Racer - Good tips
About following faster drivers, i thought of the same thing myself... if i can keep up!!

All you need to know...."The (go)car(t)s are lighter, the tires are slick.....If you ain't out of control, you ain't in control."

Got it?

Funkshen

Average person times : 45 - 48
My average : 40
My PB : 39.5

Person who frequents the course / knows how to drive karts average : 36

My goal is now 36 seconds. I passed everyone I challenged. It is an adrenaline boost. When you freaking hit the apexes perfectly, you feel good. I swear, you forget about the world and your mind is focused square on the track and you. I can honestly say I know how race drivers feel and why they love it.

Also traffic sucks. I hate traffic. Damn sunday drivers.

Oh yea I did some drifting at the end of my session. So much easier than games. Turn in, shift your body abit, and down on the throttle. Easy. Although you lose a hella lotta speed compared to hitting apexes. Oh man I love that. I swear I was about 1cm off most of the apexes. It's the best rush once again when you look at your kart that close to a wall and hammering the throttle. 👍 👍 👍

Also I'm going again tomorrow possibly and then next Sunday. I do believe you call this an addiction.

Oh and I was only on the track for about 20 minutes.

Enough bragging ?! OR SHALL I CONTINUES ?! XD
