Trams=Good
Trains=Disgusting

My thoughts:

Trams: :yuck:
Trains: :indiff:

I didn't think trams were too bad until Rann spent millions of dollars on the Adelaide system when that could've gone to something important such as fixing the water problem. :banghead: Wait i forgot, Mike Rann thinks there's no human life past Gepps Cross/Mclarenvale.

Sorry to revive my old thread but I need advice
I'm going to be travelling alone and I need to know if it is easy to get from terminal 5 to terminal 4 at Heathrow
Also do you think its worth it to get a chaperone from BA to help me go around the airports?
cheers

 If only that were even remotely true.
:(

You don't know how lucky you are, seriously. Try getting around Barcelona, with all your stuff.

Inter-terminal transport at Heathrow is pretty good, and is usually managed through the flight connections. So you look for your connecting flight, and you'll end up being directed.

Why do you need to go from T5 to T4? Are you changing airlines?

If you get a BA chaperone you outsource the stress of getting around and getting to your flight. If you're not confident, it may be a sensible move.

Yeah, I'm up for a chaperone. Im not so confident. Although i could try to befriend someone on the same flight to take me under their wing 💡
Yup, im changing from BA to Quantas I think

No 'U' in Qantas. We like our Q's without U's here.

(Qantas is actually an abbreviation)

I have done tons of flying around the world and have never have all that much of a problem finding my way around the terminals (including no time left connection flights). If you do find it confusing you can get help easy.

Please excuse me sir :D
Jay V: I was thinking it would be easy to get someone in the airport to direct me to the connection. Is it?
Its just heathrow is Massif innit :D

This is it! My flight leaves in three hours from Edinburgh, I'm getting help through heathrow and then I'm on my own. Qantas were so helpful...
I shall post from the other side. Wish me luck ;)

Have fun, and good luck. :)

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned V8 Supercars yet, but see if you can catch on of those races.

(If it weren't for ToCA and GT I wouldn't know what the V8 Supercar championship is, 'cause I'm an American :D)

I survived! I was allowed to tag along with the Qantas person cause she was nice.
I saw someone attemt to do the Melboure shuffle when I was out at christmas... It was funny

I've lived in Melbourne all my life and I have never seen anybody trying or attempting to do the Shuffle.

Don't lie, thats how Melbournians walk, unless you just don't realise it yet :scared:

:p

Address: 432 Docklands Drive ,Harbour Town Shopping Centre, Melbourne

They're a reliable store, I race road bikes so i'm glad to share some knowledge.

I love you...
I went to a kind of outdoorsy store near Fountaingate shopping centre in Narre Warren and all they stocked was "Fox" stuff and "Fluid" at pretty high prices :(
I need to get some new gloves for less than 40 bucks ;)

I got some gloves from Goldcross cycles. ;)
And, I just saw some whales!!! We went down the Ocean Road, stayed in a place called Lorne, and this morning when we were just about to leave the cottage the lady came and told us there were two whales in the bay! It was fabulous, i'll get some pics up when I get back to Scotland

Exact;y where you want to be to see whales.

Go to Chadstone Shopping Centre, see what the biggest mall in the Southern Hemisphere is like.

I must stress, however, not to enter the DAVID JONES carpark, unless you like waiting an hour to get out again.

EDIT: I was thinking of making some form of thread with tonnes of photos from my trip. I dont know whether to just put them in here or whether to make a new thread in the photography forum.
