...and I'm not sure if I will have time for all this, but I will try. Are there any suggestions on what categories to form and what tracks to use (not Nurburgring I will use it later in the test)? I am going to use B-Spec and my driver is at 9998 points. Right now I am thinking of forming categories based on region, but I am not sure.

That's gonna take more than a while.

I suggest doing them dealer by dealer, and then in the Dealer section, year-by-year.

Ex.
Dodge:
1990-2000
2001-2005

Mitsubishi
1981-1990
1991-2000
2001-2005

That's just how I would do it personally.

As for tracks, I suggest Laguna Seca or Tsukuba.
Good luck with this.

I would never use Nurburgring as a Test Track, the time difference can be to big even for similar laps, I would try a track that has it all, a straight, combination of turns etc. I often use Trial Mountain as my test track.

I used to use Infineon Sports Car Course because it's a technical track that also rewards straightline speed. But B-Spec Bob can't drive FF cars worth **** on that track. Heck, he can't drive FF cars worth **** anywhere at over pace 3.

Bob is always mowing the lawn on Tskuba too, which is strange as I find it to be a great A spec test track.

i can honestly say that I have collected and driven 213 cars in my current game of GT4. Also, all of these cars are new or are the low mileage cars in the Used Car sections. Ive also modified each car with a sport and semi-racing set-up, both of which allow the car to return to stock.

I used the Nurburgring as a test track for each of them but I think I am going to change, I have noticed that screwing up in the wrong places can really hurt your overall time. Anyways, I am currently working on re-driving each of the cars and taking notes on their track times in a huge MS Access file. Maybe one day I can upload what I have gathered.

I don't think that you'll be able to test every car in the game by yourself. It's a task that I think is too big for any one man to complete (unless you have a ton of time), but it would be difficult to have someone help you test the cars because of driver skil l - someone WILL be better than some else, so the lap times won't be very compareable.

I'd recommend testing on Tsukuba.

I test all cars by manufacturer as shown in the garage, and it goes like this; dealer/age/power. All cars are stock and if needed I buy a chassis refresh and change the oil. The tyres used are N2, N3, S1, R1 depending on car. I picked out six tracks to test on and they are; Nürburgring, La Sarthe I, Fuji Speedway ´05, Suzuka Circuit, Côte d´Azur and Midfield Raceway normal. All is done in A-spec, so this takes some time...currently on Fiat. Most races are raced in Family cup, so I can earn atleast some money, and the second lap counts. Lapping is done in a somewhat careful manner, so I don´t spin or go off track. All times are written down in .xls. By this count the team Oreca Viper was car #100 to be put to the test!
