If anyone who's offended by another person's opinion or mere words, should not even be on the internet.Words are the primary tool we, as humans, use to cause offence. We even have specific words tailored for the purpose of causing offence and while it isn't always possible or even appropriate to apply the rule of "if you've got nothing nice to say, don't say anything", communication on the internet is conducted solely via language. So your aside is pretty much a non sequitur.
