I hate this test! I just cannot get up to the last guy in time to get first. I run out of track. I'm finding this harder than the Vettle challenge!!! Wish the Ferrari would just go quicker dammit...:indiff:

i had past that test on 1st try lol
taking the 1st lambo 3 corners before race ends

line of driving on, rest all off, abs 1

Are you using a wheel or DS3?

This is a very hard test. Imho you should able to drive with all aids off, but abs:1.
Second: are you sure you learned that track at your most?
Third: there are many overtaking places. First corner approach and overtake is crucial. Then, you have to brake very late after the Colosseum: on the tight right going to Circo Massimo, if you should overtake a Stratos. After the long straight, the right kink is very hard but you can almost flatout until the last two corners. AI is very slow uphill.

But, yes.. it took me hours to gold with a G27.

You need lots of trottle control and brake modulation. Try to brake like you had no abs at all, making it manual abs, works really good, then when you accelerate be sure to not give it to much gas if you're not line up. You should pass the 3 cars (the lambo is usually one of them, they are place 3-4-5) while breaking on turn 5 by lap one, after that it's just a matter of breaking a bit earlier and having good accel out of corners.
I had more problem getting gold on the cone challenge with the FT than this one.

I finish second after a long series of retry and retry and retry... was very frustrating that any contact was an inmediate disqualification. (DS3)
But I enjoy, was very defiant. I think that now that bumping is no more penalized (from 1.07) may be will be a little easier.

The first 2 tests took me a couple of try's to get gold. 7 of the last 8 however i golded the first time.
The one that stuffed me was the R246 with the Ferrari 330 P4. Got gold in that also... eventually... after maybe 10 try's.
I had all aids off which you shouldn't need, but will help.

I found IC-10 a lot easier after spending hours trying miserably to catch up with the time trial leaderboard there a few weeks ago.

...and don't even mention the cone slaloms! They're possible, but man, soooo frustrating.

I've been going back and golding all of my license silvers the past couple days, and just did this one on Sunday. It really wasn't that bad, but did take 5 or 6 tries to finally gold. No bumping the AI either, and I'm not sure it would help anyway. I can see how this test would be pretty difficult with a DS3, I was using a G27.

The only license I haven't golded yet is IB, I put it off for last because it has the dreaded cone slalom. I hate those things.

I completely disagree with you on this however everyone has their own driving strengths/weakness. I for one find the vettel challenge much more difficult than IC10 and to me its not even close.

I passed this test in first try. It was the easiest of all tests. The A-, B-, and C-license test were much harder. You can easily outsmart the stupid AI

I agree it's difficult.
Follow this video guide:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBJ40uu-1RA&feature=related

Important! Try not to drift/slide. You will lose time if you do that too much. I know the guy in the video does it in a few places, but I would not recommend it unless you have excellent car control.

Also, it is *vital* to have high exit speed in the corners at approx. 0:46 and 1:30 in the video.

See the position of the 2nd placed car at approx 1:40 (when your car in the video crosses the finish line and starts the 2nd lap)? You should not be very much further behind it when you get there. If you see it disappearing into the corner at the Colosseum ahead, then you are too far behind and might just as well restart.

Follow these tips and you WILL succeed. At least I did.

This.

I'm have 50 golds (haven't entered the S licence yet), and the cones (especially with the FT-86) were definitely the harder to gold for me.

There was also one with a 370Z at Indy, I think, that it was a pain, but didn't compare with the damn cones.

Go for the S class, you'll do it in, erm, approximately the time it takes to load each track and drive round it once...they're ridiculously easy compared to the I-class licences.

I found this one of the hardest licence tests by far and gave up on it for a while. My time away must've helped as I golded it with a DS3 on my 3rd attempt last week. After update 1.06 the penalties for hitting opponent cars is pretty much non-existent and the opponent AI seems to have been tweaked in our favour. Watch and learn from the numerous YouTube vids, that's what helped me the most. I did it with the driving line on, TC 1, ABS 1 and everything else off. Good luck!

This is a video I made of me doing it.The settings are in the description. I got gold on my second attempt with these settings. You have to be brave in the corners

IC-10 took me a couple of hours to complete. If the car was less fun to drive, I might have given up all together, but I just love sliding that old Ferrari through corners.

I'll agree with what some of the other posters mentioned. You really need to be in third coming out of the super sharp right hand corner. And throttle control is pretty crucial. I felt that giving it a little throttle as I was exiting corners help tame the sliding a bit and really kept me close.

The big problem I had with this car is that it tends to be very unstable under braking.

So I raised the ABS setting and it was a piece of cake!

I'm a DS3 user and finished all the license tests before the Monday after the game came out. They're pretty easy certainly nothing in comparison to Vettel Challenges.

Just gave this a try, its definately tough but possible. You can be upto third overtaking the muira into the hairpin, if you arent he'll get in the way going throught the kink so unless you get by him at the hairpin on lap 1 u would be best to restart.

Aim to do at least a 1.24.2 for the first lap.

On lap 2 you should pass second place as you exit turn 1. The most important part of lap 2 is getting the left/right kink correct as this is where you wll make up most of the time on 1st. ideally you want to pass first into the fast left just before the last 2 right hand turns otherwise 1st will block the line and passing will be difficult without a collision.

Best tip for driving i can give is easy on the brakes, be very gentle and gradual

A lap of 1.19.7 should be good enough to take the win. I did it with no aids and with a DFGT

P.S the people claiming they golded this first time are lying, i would imagine the first time anyone did this challenge they spun out at the first corner!!!!!
