This is a petition to have the Golf R DLC fixed for GT5.

By posting in this thread you are contributing to the petition signatures. If you don't want to or are against this idea you shouldn't post.

Heres the problem, in Australia, South Africa and Japan, the Golf R is available detuned for the warmer climate.

Normally it has 199KW/267BHP and 350NM, but the detuned one has 188KW/252BHP and 320NM. Since Japan is where PD is located, they appear to have chosen the local/detuned version for release in the latest DLC pack.

Please post so we can try to change this in the next update or ASAP.

Regards, Conza

EDIT: the specs are EXACTLY how the detuned car is, this has NOTHING to do with oil or engine break in

I doubt they will care. There are cars in the game, Premium and Standard alike, that have much greater statistical discrepancies that they haven't touched since the game came out; so I'm sorry to say that they almost certainly won't fix this when it technically isn't even incorrect.

It's really that hard to mess around with stage 1 engine upgrade and the power limiter?

No wonder this world has gone to 🤬...so many people are so picky and so lazy .

I wouldn't think that it would be too much to expect that the car you paid extra for as DLC have correct specifications.

Well, at least this isn't Forza, where apparently many cars have incorrect modeling and/or way off specs.

At least PD matched the specs up with some version of the car. Boohoo - I have 10 horses less than the "German version."

No. This is just GT5, where many cars have incorrect modeling and/or way off specs.

If you are going to instantly default back to "at least it's better than Forza," make sure that it actually is.

Yeah, not going to happen. They included the car they way they know it to be. It's not a mistake, nothing is broken, there is no reason to fix it.

I rather have them focus on new cars for DLC then add some HP to a car they just released. Add the first engine tune if its that big of a problem.

There will probably be a 'Euro' DLC pack as well with the same cars with Euro specs, for another 4 euros.

Don't forget GT5 is japanese market focused, since beginning, and never lost this personality. They make efforts with Mercedes partnership, and now with this 3/4 Euro cars DLC.
Most of the cars are right drive only. Or do you never noticed it?
I think it's not the case to ask for a left drive 800 cars DLC too....

As for the Golf, it's perfectly correct for JDM specs, as said by OP. So I can't consider it another car specification discrepancy (for example, just compare what Volvo 240 GLT real specs are.....)

(for example, just compare what Volvo 240 GLT real specs are.....)

Well, most 240's in the world are Swedish Countryside Teenager Tuning Special Editions, that's why it got extra horsepower and the additional weight is because the teenager is taking all his friends for a spin at the local soccer field.

About the Golf: Well, I'm not surprised they took the Japanese specs. If the car is a right drive then the specs are actually correct for that version.

267-252=15
are you really complaining about 15 hp? I hope you do realize that each car rolling out of the factory isn't going to be EXACTLY at 252 or 267hp... Not just that, but why don't you just mess with power limiter/engine upgrades? problem solved.

What's hard to understand? The specs are correct for the car they have modelled. Get over it.

this thread should be abolished. then the noob should be put in a corner to think before he speaks.

Just drive the car and stop being such a picky nerd, getting fed up of you moaning t@s

not wanting to start any discussions here

but if i buy a golf R in Europe or in Germany, the germany R will have more HP!

Yep, I think that's already been mentioned but I'm assuming that PD had a Japanese spec one to model.

I also wouldn't think it would be too much to expect to read all of the posts in the thread before someone attempts a witty retort. I guess I was wrong about that too.

Stop complaining dude, be happy you have it.

Reasoning?

Just got the DLC. Besides the specs being Japanese, they also lack the paints that you can order over here Europe. In GT5, the Scirocco R comes in blue and white only, while over here you can order it in those colors, as well as Viper Green, Reflex Silber, Deep Black and Salsa Red. No biggie for me though.
