my pc cost $1200 canadian when I bought it...at the time, it was probably one of the fastest rigs you could hope to put together without diving into overclocking. Hell, the thing is still hitting the games pretty damn nicely considering that it's over 3 years old now đź‘Ť

all you need is a good video card. The radeon 9200's are pretty damn good for entry level cards. $150 or so will net you the Radeon 9600XT which is easily the best mid range card on the market.
