What kind of games do you like? Give us a list of games (from any console) that you really like and we'll see if we can come up with something on PS2 that you would also like.

I'm with AE86 driver, Metal gear solid 2 is amazing! Best game along with gt3! (and devil may cry, the 2nd 1 is coming out on Wednesday, Jan. 29 2003 ) Yes metal gear 2 is an adventure game, but the best you'll fnd, anuone would like it!:)
 
I think Metal Gear is more of a strategy game. You can't go running in and start shooting or you'll end up dead. You need a strategy for every level and the situation always changes depending on what you did before.

I don't know about that one Viper,I've ran around on MGS2 after beating the game and just started shooting people,and I got all the way to where you diffuse the bombs with Raiden and I just saved it and quit,cause it wasn't a challenge.I was playing on hard and the total amount of rations I used,was about 4.Don't worry,I've went through the WHOLE game without using 1 ration before,no lie.I must play that game too much :lol:

P.S. I'd consider to be an action game in some situations..I mean comeon,how often do you get to punch a guard in the nuts or break their neck?hehe,it's quite amusing what happens with the stealth suit on.Aim for head shots,hehe!

"After beating the game." See, if you play for the very first time, you have no idea what is going to happen, so you do need a strategy. Once you beat the game, of course you can go around killing everyone because you know where everything is and what is going to happen. Obviously it wasn't a challenge because the surprise is gone, since you played through it once already.
 
actually,since I put it on a different difficult,it WAS a surprise to me since everything,and when I say everything..I mean EVERYTHING was randomly generated.So really,I didn't know what was gonna be ahead of me,even if I did beat the game on normal.yeah,I knew where to go,but that doesn't mean I wouldn't get killed along the way if I just sat and blasted at the guards on my way to the destination point.So really,the surprise WASN'T gone when I played through it on Hard.Hopefully you understand where I'm coming from

Final Fantasy X is a pretty good game too if you like RPGs like I do. The drawback though is the lame Love story thrown in for extra measure and Blitzball sucks.
 
virtua fighter 4 if you like fighters and love depth.
way of the samurai for something different. A true RPG with a tenchu like fighting engine.
