Hi guys

I just bought g27 like 3 days ago, first try it was really disaster ( i directly try to drift / touge with the same setup on ds3) every turn im going to spinning out, but when im with ds3 i can drift / touge ing pretty good, i mean everything just goes nicely, but when i changed to g27, you know what i mean.

What should i do guys? I bought this thing for getting the smooth drift not a screw up drift like this. I even driving a stock 86 196hp, but keep spinning out. Help me guys

Put it on simulation, ffb around 5.

Be smooth with all inputs. Practice, practice, practice.

Simulation mode does not work for the G27. Those 3 options (Simulation, Professional, and Amatuer) are only available for the wheels highlighted when that option is selected. Read the scrolling text below when in that menu.

Treat the steering wheel like if you are driving a real car, hold it like in real car, firm hold but relaxed movement, be smooth, precise and always know where the center is, if you can predict how much movement needed for every turn at any given speed, you are getting there :D

Drifting with the wheels is very difficult. I use a DS3. DS3 goes lock to lock with the flick of a thumb, your hands can never be that fast. It can be done, other people do it, but it takes a lot of practice and a lot of precision and knowledge of what the car is going to do before it does it. Practice makes perfect.

Yea, when I was going for that drifter trophy in the game, I had to use my DS3 also, I couldn't even come close with my wheel.

The other thing is that it's got to be really hard on the FF motors sawing back and forth like that. That's why I never drive the X1 or avoid the F1 and FGT most of the time too, I don't want to destroy my wheel just to drive a couple of cars.

It's what the wheels are made for. As long as the case isn't burning hot, you should be fine.

I've had my G27 for about 2-3 years and use it for drifting, X1, everything. I haven't touched a DS3 in a long time, and no issues on my wheel.

It's totally normal... when I has bought my G27, the first month was depressing but eventually I has improved.
Take it easy, practice a lot, try the stering sensibility setings.

I concerned about this, those 3 options are highlighted on g27 if im not mistaken, id sure about this, but i dont know if the options that i choose has make any differents

Okay, with ds3 i can drift really well, but yeah, wheel makes me looks like a retarded who driving a fr car lol

So u can say that at the moment u know how to drift with wheels? How can be? Is the e brake important how to drift with wheels? I couldnt using e brake on g27. Its really has a huge different using ds3 and wheels.

Practice makes perfect, bro!

But with only 202hp i keep spinning out, its really frustrating :(

You are mistaken. Those 3 modes do not work for the G27, FACT. Read the scrolling text below the menu. It only works for the highlighted wheels, the G27 is not highlighted. I don't know why people can't understand this.

So those 3 options aint working with g27 , is the ffb works well? Is that makes a huge different with 5ffb and 10ffb? If its working, which one the best option for drifting? The tight one or loose ?

The ffb does work with the G27. I don't drift tho, so I can't help you there. For racing tho, I use a ffb setting of 8-9.

This is how I treat my wheel and how I drive my cars in this game

I can't tell you, because I don't drift :guilty: My comment was focused on racing overall experience.

Tell that to the guys who have burned out wheels in the last couple of years. Like I said, I don't need to drive the X1 and there are few opportunities short of series racing to drive the F1 or FGT and I'm good with that.

Try with 4-5. I use the same wheel (G27) for drifting, it took me months to get good and to be able to hold a drift. Be prepared for some work! It's not easy! The key is to keep calm and loose, try not to get frustrated or tense. Take breaks, and don't over practice! Also, for drifting, head over the the drifting forum for tips and tricks, they guys/girls over there have a lot of information to give, just read first, ask second!
