My favorite part of racing is peeling out my tires in my civic and beating the AI stock corvette in a cloud of smoke.

WHY rolling starts? please give us the option to turn these off in a patch. It can't be hard, the game already knows what it is.

Also; please allow us to revert engine changes so i don't have to own 2 versions of every car if i want a stock version. For the most part I never get weight reduction; roll cage; and engine upgrades cause I can't revert them to stock when I want to play with my friends online (we are big into stock racing).

cutting engine power doesn't work right anyhow; and the weight ballast people seem to know how to gain an advantage with even that!.

PLEASE patch these in, i know a lot of people will love it!

Also patch in a drag strip; i'm telling you I have friends who will buy this game for that 1 reason alone; give it the tree also and allow us to do some configuring with it. But most important; allow up to 4 cars to drag at once also; makes it more intense. Allow the 1/4 mile, 1/8 miles, 400 m, and 1000 m for our metric folks.

This will add to GT5's life and when you think about it all of this is hardly a lot of work to add in. Online will flourish with drag races and way more people will play; a lot of people like drag!

Also a lot of old american muscle; and the trucks in this game have way to low of tq in the low rpms. Anyone who has driven a truck will tell you they do not accelerate at the rate of a snail from 0 -5000 rpms; ever crash with the ss chevy truck? then try to get going again? yeah it's pathetic, the civic will get going faster.

- Split times compared whit the car directly infront or behind you. instead of the raceleader.
- Simple flaf rules: yellow flags/blue flags
- Standing starts
- Indicator to see when other people pit.
- When ending a seasonal race, go to the next race, not go back to the main menu.
- Longer races. whats the point of a easy 3 lap race? is it a race?
- tyre degradation and fuel use at A-spec and seasonal events. like in B-Spec & online.

I'd like them to fix arcade mode, to where we can choose what the AI drivers are driving. Along with that, they need to make the AI more competitive.

I'd like to see some more skylines.

+1...the R31 generation is woefully underrepresented, along with the R30s to a lesser extent...and there's not a single C210 generation anywhere in the bunch.

the option to have a restrictor plate on the Nascars. and an update that brings Dodge Charger Nascars as well

More RM kits
specified pit crews for each series
more intellegent AI
display rubber buildup of cars running in a race
rain at Tsukuba
Test Course from GT4
more night tracks
Ariel Atom V8

Being able to buy different tires when in a online room.

I hate picking a car that has comforts softs when I want have sport hards.

Convertible top open option and test course.. Id love to run my 07 Miata at the test course with the top down.. thatd be bliss!

- Standing starts

No.

The reason is that we originally had this already, and one of the patches changed it so that most races have a rolling start. There's still a handful of grid starts in GT5, though. I'm not saying "no" because I object, because I don't object to more grid starts, but I'm saying "no" because it won't happen since PD made the decision to replace most of the grid starts with rolling starts. You're asking them to make a change to a previous change, like creating a Constitutional Amendment that overrides a previous Constitutional Amendment that was previously added to override an original chunk of the original Constitution. You're wanting a patch to fix what a previous patch already changed, or a patch to fix a patch.

PD would have to decide, "Yeah, that patch was stupid. Change it back to how it was on release." In their mind, the grid starts you want were worse than rolling starts, so they changed it to what they felt was better - rolling starts. You're asking them to reverse their feelings and acknowledge that what they decided was worse is actually better.

- Longer races. whats the point of a easy 3 lap race? is it a race?

No.

Again, it's not that I have a problem with longer races. I'd be happy to have races longer than three laps. The problem is that many other players whine about races being too long. I've actually seen GT5 topics complaining that eight or ten-lap races are too long. Make them longer and they're too long for some, but if they're shorter then they're too short for others. It's a no-win scenario. If they make you happy, someone else will come along begging for them to be shorter again.

You didn't bother to even read so much as the topic title.

"Good Patch suggestions that would be easy to put in."

Some of your requests might not be so bad, but some of them definitely aren't "easy" in that they would require quite a bit of labor to produce. Minor changes that require little programming and little-to-no new modeling are easy updates. Anything that requires completely reprogramming an aspect of the game like the AI or adding new models requires a lot more labor.

-Change racing suits at will
- Purchase paint chips
- Wheels for standards
- More cowbell
- Remove spoiler/wing option
- Skip animation for car purchase/oil change/enging-chasis rebuild

HumanDestroyah
- More cowbell

Its just... I... I need more cowbell!

I wouldn't mind having damage that doesn't go away after 1/2 mile of driving. That would rid us of those guys that flat out blow you off the track and say "i don't know why he's so pissed it was only a love tap"
I will admit I lol'd pretty good the first time he said that.

Put your ideas here. :)

Fix incorrect car stats.
Fix messed up AI rotation for the races where it a problem (Supercar Challenge, Dream Car Championship, etc.).
Show garage stats for cars when you go to buy them.
Remove duplicate cars from the game.
Make paint chips reusable.
Paint preview option in GT Auto.
Remove Photomode restrictions from Standard Cars.

crank up the speed on the AI ramping it up more per series (faster cornering mostly and maybe a little awareness), if they find the learning curve too much for novices then have an optional extreme mode or playthrough 2 or heroic mode (call it what you will) for after you hit level 30 with increased difficulty including heavier restrictions, xp and prize Cr.

Adjustable frontal downforce with the front aero kits.
Timed online races, allow for eendurance style timed events.

Oh gosh PLEASE YES. Standing starts are a must. It should for sure be toggle-able in arcade mode.

add the tyre choice to PP system.
Better filter options when searching for online races e.g max. 8 laps, max 650pp...

Rotating camera 360 degrees around car, or atleast being able to see the sides of the car.

Take off stiff chase cam.

LAN PLAY < MORE THAN ANYTHING
AND ( im sure most people are sick of the same reguests including pd)

*optional extras when buying a car eg being able to select sports soft when purchasing a car etc without the hassle of going to tuning shop
*livery editor
*more prem cars (aston martin race car)
*more tracks ( or atleast more weather/night on current tracks)

IMO,

1st Savegame races (I think its easy)
2nd Improve AI (maybe not making ai drivers faster wich will be the ideal, but giving them faster cars and tires)
3rd Let you organize your own offline events with:
Restricctions selection
car and circuit selection
And AI restriction
Use the same money/exp ratio to calculate the prize as PD use in seasonal events, not the online one...that is kind of ridiculouse for normal 5 lap races...

Fix the net code.

1. Improved engine sounds for some of the more iconic cars, I'm tired of having the Murcielago's sound like Gallardo's, etc.
2. Fix the gearing ratios of the Ferrari F1's, and make the gearshifts quicker.
3. Add a standing start option to the Top Gear Test Track

That's all I can think of for now

1. Add the online matchmaking system which is advertized in the back of the game's box.
2. Add in-race and mid-championship saves.
3. Improve engine sounds in many cars. I'm sick of my RM'd ZR1 sounding like a riced up Eclipse or Integra :grumpy:
4. Add some sort of livery editor, at least for production cars.
5. Improve the damage engine. At least make it that a 300 km/h front-end crash produces a bit more than a slight dent, or maybe a loose bumper.
6. Fix the PP system. It's not balanced: in a race between an FF, a RWD and an AWD, the FF doesn't stand a chance, and the RWD will need a flawless race and a mistake or two by the AWD to win.

Yes
and Yes!!

1. Add a Stock option to online race rules.
2. Allow event prize cars to be re-won, perhaps by clearing a check box.
3. Give all non concept cars a resale value.
4. Add real tyre grip and damage to A-spec.
5. Add more events to A-spec.
6. Increase race laps in A-spec to match B-spec races, double prize money and experience points accordingly.
7. Either let me use borrowed cars online or get rid of the million credit trade cap.
8. Physics to be the same online and offline.
9. How about a gift car after you log on a certain number of days in a row? Perhaps 7 days of continual 10 paint awards gets you a car. The car would be determined by you level.

Custom races and custom tournaments: I choose cars, tracks, and laps. Pay me Cr. according to mileage.

Also patch in a drag strip

 You do know there's a difference between patches (fixing existing issues) and adding content through either DLC or a general update don't you?
