Sweetness!!finding vids for my psp will no longer be hard....Well, since I'm a total noob at this, I've downloaded a video on psp format. Now, how do I get it on my psp?

rename it to MAQ00001.MP4. avc videos has its own folder called psp/mp_root/100ANV01. nomral .mp4s go in 100MNV01 and get names M4V00001.MP4.

every video you add name add a number lile 01 02 03. any number will work as long as it is a 5 digit number. If it doesnt work maybe you can find help here. www.pspupdates.com

i need help! i downloaded this video http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7988008966625469607&q=nissan+skyline but i can't put it on to my psp, it's the right format (mpeg-4) but it won't work, any help?
Like in the post above you need to make a folder in the root menu (MP_ROOT) containing yet another folder called 100MNV01>. As LaBounti pointed out it has to be renamed to M4VXXXXX(could be any 5 digits you want, suggest you start with 00001 then go up from there, this way you can order your vids). One more thing, just because it's in mpeg4 format doesn't mean it will play on the psp(only can render 29.9fps at best, don't worry it will look the same as you watch it on your computer). As for converting your Avi movies/clips (even though it may already be in Mpeg4 you will still need to convert it for best appearance)I suggest this program. It's already(should be already set up for use,if not click HERE)just follow the picture in the post(the post in "program") and everything should be fine.👍

The videos on google are avc and have to be named MAQxxxxx.mp4 and go in folder 100ANV01. I tried and they wont play on 1.50 psp's like mine.

you can upgrade to 2.0 and still be able to downgrade to 1.5, I do it all the time. Go here

So I can play SNES. NES and genesis games. As well as use a few useful homebrew apps like text viewerb to keep all my strategy guides so i dont have to boot up my pc to view them.

I may upgrade only if a hot game i really want doesnt work with version changer.

:grumpy: Well, I suppose it's only a matter of time before wifi would come into the pic with portable vid handheld... that's why I didn't really like the iPod vid because it doesn't have wifi but it does have a 30gb hd so I can store it all on there. :D

I'm really liking this portable vid revolution. 👍

Only Videos that clearly say it has a price. just browse the free videos, they are kept apart other wise all can be downloaded. I noticed full NBA games can be purchased. Make sure you follow the directions to play on 2.00 psps

Awesome, now I can download the Buggatti Veyron clip in peace.

Wow, this is great! I downloaded some yesterday, then found the videos wouldn't work. Thanks LaBounti for explaining how to sort that out. 👍

 No problems with my iPod trans. I got a slew of Best Motoring, Top Gear and Fifth Gear vids. :p
I think this may be the first time you didn't say iPoo instead of iPod. IT'S THE APOCALYPSE!!!

Sorry to bring this thread back, but after updating my PSP to 3.03, the videos I download from google.video do not seem to work anymore. It either shows up as unsupported data or doesn't show up at all under videos.

You may need to re download them. I just downloaded a few videos and they work. If I can find my old files from goolge test then
out.

Edit: Older videos do not work.

So only a select few videos still work for the PSP? I still install it the same way as explained on the first page right? Sorry, its been so long since I've downloaded a video from google and now since I've gotten a 2 gig, I've been trying to download google vids on my PSP to no luck.

no, you dont need the instructions anymore. Sony fixed this by just needing a folder called "VIDEO" in the root of the disk example "G:\VIDEO" just put the file in there no need to rename it and you can have sub folders too :)

Wow, really? I've just heard about this now. I should probably read what the updates do. So I make a subfolder named "VIDEO" in the folder named "PSP"?

**I got them to work now, thank you for the instructions!!

My video folder's in the root of my psp.
