Got me a Mondeo

...Don't you guys have anything like the Better Business Bureau in Spain? If a Ford dealer acted like that here in America you can bet that serious action would not only be taken by the city, but also by Ford North America. From my experiences, Ford generally has a pretty good dealer network here. Two of my Friends' parents own Ford dealers, and they take great pride in accommodating all of their customers issues, no matter how big or small. If they run out of courtesy cars, they often lend out cars on the lot.

...I'd get that Ford dealer checked out, seriously. Stuff like that would never fly here in America...

The dealer said the bumper was changed perfectly and that as long as the trunk lid closes, it's not crooked. Fine!

But since they didn't change the brake light, which has the base loose, now the new bumper scratched because the brake light that goes on top of it has been hitting it. They agreed on changing the carpet, though.

The BBB doesn't work as swiftly here. There's a chain of events which must take place first. The first step is requesting at the venue some sort of claim form, which you must then take to the municipality and from there to the local government. From there it goes to the equivalent of the BBB and if they determine that Ford is at fault, I'll get either my stuff fixed for free, or some financial claim. The whole process takes up no less than six months. In the end they can just say the mechanic they used (which is not a Ford-authorised mechanic, but just some mechanic they have) didn't work right and either I take it out on them or they'll just change mechanics.

Welcome to Spain, birthplace of bureaucracy.

Next for me is keeping my Mondeo with the crooked boot lid and waiting for the new rug to arrive. I then have to call Allianz and talk with the surveyer and tell him the problem with the brake light and how it scratched the new bumper and from there on we'll see.

The funniest thing (sarcasticly funny) is that the other day I saw the kid who hit me (this is a small city, you meet people everywhere) and he told me his car was already in mint condition and even asked me if I'm interested in buying it.

Ya dealerships suck major.

I wouldn't take a car there at all unless whatever they are doing is free. I never take my car to the dealer. I just take it to a local mechanic that does it way cheaper and better.

well, it is free, that's why I took it there and why I'm being such an ass to them for doing their job wrong.

The other person's insurance is covering the costs.
