GR2 car

Tuning 4WD rally cars:

  • Typically soft natural frequency with the rear slightly harder,
  • Higher ride height to absorb jumps and bumps,
  • Soft damping at a similar ratio to the natural frequency,
  • Camber more upfront and neutral rear for front end grip,
  • Front toe out and rear toe in at similar amounts,
  • Soft anti rollbars at a similar ratio to the natural frequency,
  • Brake bias to the rear to help initiate rear oversteer,
  • Downforce greater in the front than the rear to help with turn in, high speed corners will require more rear downforce.
