Modelers and designers = A crap load of money...

Then it's a rumor! :D

I've been thinking:

If they return used cars, they could have, for example,

Honda Civic 1.6 '93
Honda Civic 1.6 '94
Honda Civic 1.6 '95
Spoon Civic
...

You could have a lot of cars with exactly the same body, maybe only different horsepower or colour. And if they count all of them, you could get to 2000 quite easily.

They already have a lot of Japanese cars and if they only add the best from europe and america, numbers add up fast.

If they use the bodies from GT3 and just modify them, it could even go quite fast, don't you think?
Maybe that's how they got to 50% and now they are in the stage where they have to start all the new models from scratch.

Gt 4 or not ?

Unless the Anti-Christ has had a change of heart and has decided to use his army of 200 million mentioned in Revelations for politically correct purposes.

No, read the article that came with the picture dude :). Its from a Version of Gran Turismo that is centered around the Lupo Ciup Car races and isnt GT4 but provides a glimpse of what we might see in GT4 graphics and Detail wise :). I feel I am repeating myself lol. There will never be 2000 cars and 100 tracks in GT4, not even enough space on 2 discs. Even if you could download cars and tracks they would be huge and you would still never be able to see all of them. If you had that many cars you would be spending alot of money to make them and to have the liscensing for them. Im talking ALOT of money...

Nice screenshot Masterblaster 👍

 Lotus Elise  Damn I like this car so much.

Here's the biggest question: Will PD improve the AI from GT3?;)

*if PD doesn't say anything, we'll boycott:p *

I could care less, if GT4 goes online then we'll have the best possible AI. ;)

That'll be nice.

. I really hope they do go online, hopefully for both Dial Up and Broadband like some of them are. Like if you have Dial up you can race two other people but if you had Broadband you could race up to 9 other people and so on...

I would just like to say. Its about Damn time some news of this comes out.

Yeh, 2000 cars... More likely at the most 1000 cars, and at the most, probably 40 tracks...that would be with 2 discs...isn't the game about 60% done anyway?

I think that 2,000 car article is an April's fools joke

There's no way they can put 2,000 cars on one DVD, let alone have the time to create 2,000.

As long as it has more tracks and cars then GT3 I'll be plenty happy

Could on a two disc set..

No it cant. Too much space is needed for that many cars and tracks dude. DVD discs can only hold about 6 GB's. Cars can be 15 MB's each and tracks are alot more. Plus you have to add in the programs for the AI, car performance, sound FX, menu screens, functions etc...

Apparently PD didn't use too much space when programming GT3's AI.;) :p

Come on you guys......what the confusion?

2000 cars is simple for them to do. Look.....

400 Lancer Evolutions
300 Miatas
400 Skylines
300 Imprezas
500 Celica, Supra and Altezzas
90 Little 60 hp Econocar pieces of crap (Vitz anyone....)

Lets see, that leaves 10 spots for ALL the other cars on the planet.

Like I said.....simple.
