I felt the same with GT3 and GT4 because of the weird input lag they have on controller (even remember this from original hardware) which makes catching slides almost impossible, ended up setting the input to a Driving Force instead and you get much more responsive inputs which makes everything a lot more controllable. Set smoothing to 5% and you can put damping on low if it's too twitchy. Put the steering assist ingame on amateur and you then don't scrub the tyres much either. I agree some of the race cars don't feel that great but the road cars, especially the slower softer stuff often feels really good to drive to me.

Good thing that I stumbled upon your post when I was frustrated to set up the controller because of the delay. This workaround works and while it isn't flawless, it is still much better than before. Thanks man ☺️👍

Looks incredible! Not so sure on the increased grip changes, seems like it'll turn GT4 even more arcade-y. Hopefully Admiester's Spec II additions like car sounds, randomizer, etc. can be integrated into Re-Tuned as well

How we can recreate the .vol file? I made my combined playlist mod for Spec II and put my .ads files in the extracted directory, edited the playlist file, packaged it with GT4FS, I used GT4_ONLINE method and nothing appears except the black screen.

Yup, that's the plan, I can define any selection of engines per car.

This is a feature added by the Spec II mod - the changelog for the mod lists cars that had the option added in each update.

I like GranTurismo 4... And just SWITCHED to the "Spec II" mod!
(After having like... 334 HOURS on a Regular GT4 Save! - [Granted - A LOT of those hours came from me running
"B-Spec Bob" in the background for almost no reaspon XD.]

After playing the mod for an hour I THREW AWAY that 300-Hour Save and now exclusvely play the mod!
(I use the CHEATS... I'm already back BETTER than I was in the old save XD - (i.e - I got the Formula GT & Minolta - But THIS MOD HAS ACTUALLY GOT ME DRIVING OTHER CARS!!!)

I've read a lot of comments... On VARIOUS websites (THIS one.... Reddit.... YouTube Comments)

Where people say that "Something is different about the handling... But they 'can't put their finger on it'..."

Then - Someone ALWAYS says "Cars now come with N1 Tires" etc....

That's like.... 1% "it".... XD

The "99%" is that the GAME PHYSICS are MUCH MUCH 𝕄𝕌ℂℍ........ (wait for TWO WEEKS)

Going to be very interesting in the PS3 games to see how it works with the interior view. I wonder if it will be a lot of extra work to get everything correct. But when it does happen, it will be awesome indeed.
