when it comes to opening movies which song would u guys like to be on gt4 as the opening and which car ( ie. GT3 had the supra as the main car)

on gran turismo 3 i found my japanese gt3 the best out of the european and us vers¡on just bc of the song =) masahiro andoh - moon over castle

it dont worry, i just wanna race!!

they can even have some crappy rapper for all i care. i wont be listening to it

I think Moon Over the Castle would be the best song for GT4 (like it has for the past three), but I doubt it will make the transition to the US version.

that song they have on that tokyo gameshow clip that they recently released.

ya, i wont moon over the castle. Its THE gran turismo song. how cant they have it.

Deffinite choice for the opening soneg would be some classic-piano tune (like Bethowen or even Mozart) which would slowly be mixed into starting guitar riff of Guns n' Roses "Welcome to the Jungle".

Here's the lyrics for those unfamiliar with the song so judge for yourself:

Welcome to the jungle
We've got fun 'n' games

We got everything you want
Honey, we know the names
We are the people that can find
Whatever you may need
If you got the money, honey
We got your disease

In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring you to your
knees, knees
I wanna watch you bleed

Welcome to the jungle
We take it day by day
If you want it you're gonna bleed
But it's the price you pay

And you're a very sexy girl
That's very hard to please
You can taste the bright lights
But you won't get them for free

In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Feel my, my, my serpentine
I, I wanna hear you scream

Welcome to the jungle
It gets worse here everyday
Ya learn ta live like an animal
In the jungle where we play
If you got a hunger for what you see
You'll take it eventually
You can have anything you want
But you better not take it from me

And when you're high you never
Ever want to come down, YEAH!
You know where you are
You're in the jungle baby
You're gonna die
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring you to your
knees, knees
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Feel my, my, my serpentine
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring you to your
knees, knees
In the jungle
Welcome to the jungle
Watch it bring you to your
It' gonna bring you down-HA

As the tradion of tthe GT series lays on easy parts being mixed into some heavy-tunes, guess this would make it just fine. Despite the provocative and patrental advisory nature of the lyrics, off course.:D

Something startiing off slow, and making transition into a nice fast paced Rave or Trance song, that would be sick...

The opening film should start similar to the GT4 trailer: a countdown in black and white film, and when it is supposed to reach zero, it starts repeating the countdown on four. Then it skips over to some more black and white film, full of old cars during testing, racing, pit stops etc (similar to GT2). Eventually the colors kick in, we see newer cars (muscle cars?), the movie gains a higher pace and Wildest Dreams by Iron Maiden is unleashed through the speakers. And from here the opening film has a pace matching the music, the cars still getting newer and the picture sharper. And to finish it of, just as the music stops, we see two cars driving side-by-side on a straight bit of road: the oldest car next to the newest car (most likely a concept) available in the game. (i.e. a 1886 Benz next to a GM Hy-Wire). Obviously, they are driving away from the camera, during a late hour of the day.

Have you ever seen Le Mans? At the very start of the race, in the film Le Mans, there is that big, dramatic flag waving scene. The part with the heart beating faster, and faster, and faster, and then all of a sudden it stops with the camera facing the exhaust pipe of Steve McQueen's Porsche 917, and it takes off with a bang. I think that it start out like that with either "Keep Hope Alive" by The Crystal Method, or "Right Here Right Now" by Fat Boy Slim, fading in with the heart beat.

le mans is a great film that 917 sounds so nice. And crystal method are amazing i saw them once in the uk but have wondered if they would ever come back i would love to see them again.

i think in the videos there should be DRIFTING parts to it to add a little flavor and ge more people to try to do it that would be awesome

another thing the next gran turismo 4 opening should have car sounds similair to the japanese gran turismo 3 when theres parts that you only here the cars engines and such. and how in the end part u hear the car fading into the distance while the camera zooms into the sky at trail moutain, more sounds!!!!

the only thing about that song is that is you go to a local sea side town and walk along the sea front and that song is all you can hear coming out of the amusements from the cuddly toy grabber machines and it is SO annoying.....but anyone who hasn't witnessed that will probably like the idea

No! NO!! NO!!! Don't make me hunt you down, and kill you, Famine!

I had to dance to that stupid tune, over, and over, and over again thanks to my elementary school P.E. teacher. On rainy days, when we couldn't go out, he would make us dance to that Satanic tune for excersise. I have had enough of that repulsive song to last me a lifetime.

Having said that, I would love to hear Mean Streets by Van Halen. That song as the best guitar intro, compared to any other song, ever. A great second choice would be, look at my signature.;)

You mean the Kraftwerk song? I know, it was originally by a band called Hot Butter and it's from 1973, but the modern (1989) version is by Kraftwerk... isn't that the same song on the GTGenome hybrids video?

Anyway, that IS a great song

OK, I like that song, but I don't think PD want to use a song about "yankie your wankie" in one of their games.

No, some techno sounds really cool. Sometimes, I like to jam to it with my guitar. I just crank my Cerwin-Vega studio monitors up, and crank my Marshall to the right volume, and have fun for a hour or two.

The first techno I ever liked was the music intro to the movie Shallow Grave. It's probably considered "old school" techno by today's standard, but I still like it.

Super Eurobeat! The best racing music there is!
