Don't mean to be misleading.

Is GT5 finally complete? I don't truly see anything truly "new" coming to the game, sure maybe some adjustments, another course pack and perhaps more cars. But is it safe to say "what's there is there", anything else -- GT6?

No one knows.

OBVIOUSLY the game is done, otherwise it wouldn't be retailed.

However, I believe the chances of spec-c, or any major changes for that matter are not to come.

It seems that for the most part what is there, is there. And other than the DLC and updates that were offered previously, there really isn't much else to come. Maybe some cars, some tracks and a nick-knack or two, but GT5 is basically becoming "set in stone", by now.

Spec 3
As far as i know the only truly complete Granturismo game was one and four
Two had allot of kinks and glitches and was missing some key things advertised such as drag racing and ALOT of thing's were scraped for its release
Gt3 we all know had to little cars and a decent track list
Gt4 built upon 3 and surpassed 2'c car numbers and added allot of new features
Gt5 had more cars , online but less tracks and events
But gt5 has many more thing that four did not have have so im saying 4 and 5 are "complete" but we all know 5 is not complete
if GT6 is built for the PS3 we will have another Four , a truly complete and POLISHED game but if its for the PS4 , contrary to popular belief they have to scrap most tracks etc to be to the next gens standards , they just cant use "standards"

GT5 was released with so many glitches. After 5 years of development, Sony Computer put a lot of pressure on PD so they would deliver their game in October 2010, though Kaz confessed he'd have needed two more years at least. So the word comes from the horse's mouth. GT5 was not a 100% developed when released. With so many patches and updates, it's not good for PD to keep on spending time (lot of) and money (tons of) fixing a game while they should focus on the next iteration, hopefully a completely developed and polished GT6.

Car DLC will continue until GT6 comes. Now everything points to GT6 release with PS4.(GT as release title would be epic for sales :) )

GT5 wasn't released in a complete state to begin with, and all the updates that followed haven't really addressed the issues that GT5 had in the first place. In this regard, PD shouldn't be trying to add new features before they fix the problems at hand. So basically, no, GT5 is not 100% complete.

Lol, you make a thread and post a poll, then the first person that responds your reply is basically eliminating al discussion. Nice job.👍 SOCOM Confrontation went retail but that doens't mean it was done or finished. In fact it was released quite unfinished. Same with GT5. But if this is in fact an open discussion I would say no it's not done. They are still patching it and really we don't know what additions will come that can make the game better. In my opinion patching is a part of development. I also think DLC is apart of the product so if they are still making DLC than they are still adding to the game. I guess when they confirm they are working on GT6 only then we will know GT5 is finished. I would imagine that time will come when we see the first teaser, video, or logo of some sort.

IF they announce GT6 for PS3 in next few months - on E3 2012 most probably - than we can consider work on GT5 done pretty much.

If GT6 for PS3 is not announced on E3, than we can expect some theoretical Spec III or further updates to GT5 until GT6.

This way or another, cluster-based nature of GT5 engine is a constant foundation for improvements so the current announcement of "March update" (postponed at this moment) and official announcements made regarding DLC integration in GT5 gives perspective how GT5 could still be in the post-release upgrade phase.

On the basis that Kaz said he needed 2 more years and that he must have some clout with pd and an understanding of their finances the budget must be available for pd to continue development for another 6 months or so.
While sony pushed Kaz and pd to release when they did (which will have added to the workload of the original development program) the cash flow from that release must make it financially more viable, kind of like buying a house off plan - the buyer helps fund development and ends up with a more bespoke product.

Not fact but my opinion.
