So today, I decided to hop onto GT5. I updated the game, and took the GT-86 out for a spin. For some reason, my pedals act up. When i press the gas or brake, it seems laggy, like it doesn't want to register the movement of either. Then sometimes it won't see that I'm moving the pedals. Then other times it'll act like it's stuck, and I can't change it. To see if it was a problem with the pedals, I connected them to my PC. Perfectly fine there. I'm going to try Forza Motorsport, so I'll edit the OP to tell you if it has the same problem there.

Were the pedals connected to your Fanatec wheel when you booted your PS3 and GT5 up? Also, just try restarting GT5. I know when my ghost brake pedal starts acting up on my G25, restarting usually stops it... until it happens again the next day...

I noticed that with my CSR and CSR pedals. However, I just needed to slip the clutch. Probably not the same issue as you, though.

Any luck crispy? Was this started after 2.02 update. I cant test mine as my 65 mitsu dlp has decided to die on me again.

I've had a problem with my T500 RS after the 2.02 update. On two occasions while racing the controls, pedals and wheel, just stopped responding to my input. In other words the car had a mind of it's own and nothing worked, brake, accelerator, or steering. After a few seconds everything worked again.

Give these screws a check to see if they might have come loose a little. They are what control the reading of the pedal. If loose, they can misread. The brake is not circled in red, but there is one there too.

If this does not help, off to support I would say........... But, it could be an in game thing too, idk. Just trying to help.

It's definitely an in-game thing, nothing to do with the pedals. I connected them to the PC, everything worked fine there. Connected them to the XBOX to play some Forza, everything's fine. I'm narrowing it down to a PS3 or GT5 Problem.

No, I played a little bit without the update because I didn't have a good connection at the moment. Then when the pedals started acting up, I updated. No change there so I don't think it's 2.02.

One thing I noticed is that's it's perfectly fine for the first 10 or 15 seconds before it starts doing this. I've also had something similar a couple of months ago. The brake would get stuck half way during a race. At first I thought it was a load cell. What fixed it was turning the wheel off, and then back on again. (I can do this now, but it only fixes it for a couple seconds) It's not a load cell problem because the 20 Hours I've logged on FM4 with the CSR Elite, I've never had that problem. I can't create a video as my video camera is getting repaired. At least I know it's a game or system problem, not a pedal problem.

if turning of the wheel and restarting temporarily solves the problem then it could be that the pedals are sticking - press each pedal by hand and
then slowly release it and watch for the pedal to not return
to it`s resting spot.
especially the brake pedal - if you need to pull back the pedal to get it to the resting spot then it is a sign that they need to be cleaned and lubed.
the calibration is automatically done on any platform by turning the console or pc on - go into the game without depressing any of the pedals - press each pedal once and the calibration is done.
Note - this process is repeated every time you turn your console on.

if you need any other ideas go to this thread and read my post

( ClubSport Pedals problem [read OP for info )

Have a look at This thread and how I solved the issue Here. Probably unrelated but would not hurt to check it out.
