Gran Turismo 5 will be a major cash cow way before we see GT6. There is a reason we have so few premium cars at launch. How many of us would pay to have a full garage of cars if we could? I know I would. The ATM racing gets old. I want to race and have fun with my fellow racers.

I think GT5 will see tons of DLC. I mean tons. I also think most of it will be premium cars. I am at level 17 at the moment and I just can't put the game down. I race with a G25 and a DFGT. I mostly use the DFGT because of comfort. G25 for online races and serious time trials.

While all of my girlfriends want to shop I will be in front of GT5 this holiday season. Tell me what you guys think of my DLC theory. I am sure everyone out there has their own as well.

I'd most certainly buy tracks...but, it'd have to be some must-have cars to go out of my way to buy those. Even though 800 cars are standard, they still are driveable and fun, then throw on 200+ Premiums and that's way more than I'll probably ever drive.

But, like I said...if there are a bunch more tracks, count me in.

See I am going to be a sucker for both!

I'm sure the standards will get some updates to add to their lineup and make them look better. I'd love to see all the missing cars from previous GT games added to GT5. I'd pay for Premium car packs and more tracks, of course. :P

As Kaz mentioned: there will be many updates for GT5 in the coming weeks and months.

Though I've been thoroughly enjoying what GT5 has given us so far, DLC or add-on discs at some point would very be welcome.

Bring back the classic and missing tracks (Seattle, Motegi, Infineon, Midfield , etc.). Update some of the more iconic Standard cars and cars from previous GT iterations (DB5, Espace F1, Ruf TurboR, F688/S, Veyron, etc.). Add variations of cars we have yet to see in a GT game (Civic coupe, 4-door Skylines, etc.).

Bribe Porsche. I'll help -- here's a dollar.

More exotics. More prototypes (canceled V10 FR NSX successor project?! Yes!) More classics. More everyday commuters. More stars in a reasonably priced car. More "why the Hell did they put this piece of crap car in this game?!" cars -- give me a Yugo so I can punt it into a wall repeatedly.

TL;DR? More!

I'll bite . I would gladly pay for cars, like changing some standards to premiums . Or...... just something as plain as a 2011 Mustang 5.0 that we could fully modify.

Definitely not enough Stangs or Euro cars in the game. I am sure there coming. I hope they are working on standards to premiums as well.

Bring on DLC's thats all I can say. I also can't put the game down, But I've been like that since the 1st GT.
Every edition has advanced so much and GT5 Is no disappointment.
But more premium Is needed.
Nice legs set up you have there.
Enjoy your GT5 may catch you on the black stuff.
👍:)

I think in several interviews Kaz has expressed that he wanted to avoid nickel and diming people, but since I'm sure Sony has a say in it I fully expect DLC.

If they make a premium model of an E46 M3, I'll pay whatever they want

Just browsing through the forum here, there seems to be a whole lot of stuff left out of the game, which most certainly will be included via DLC/updates. More tracks, more cars, more tuning options, a DLC pack of premium rims etc.

I will definitely pay for more tracks. I'd have to see what car packs come out before deciding whether I will splash the cash for them though.

If he didn't want to do that, he should have released a complete game - not 80% last generation material in the car department.

Great car, would pay.

I will gladly pay for whatever DLC comes up on the PSN store. And i'm sure it's no conspiracy that Kaz only has 200+ premiums and so few tracks. It's of course to keep adding via DLC. Why make a one-time profit from our 59.99 and have a comprehensive produce, when they can reap from out 4.99 every month!? It only makes sense...and it's perfect for them because Kaz knows we're all suckers and we'll pay for it lol.

p.s. Nice legs, you must be an athlete. haha

Since were getting updates by next month already, I am pretty sure we'll see some DLC for cars, trucks and hopefully events. Disappointed that the '10 Honda HSV-010 GT race car from the Super GT was removed... Hopefully your theory is right Kai, the standard cars are horrible. I haven't even wasted any money trying to fix these damn things up. Although the professional events are fun. Almost 17 8)

Shig, you've raced the Standard's more than once? The only times I've used a standard are in the races required to use them (or in one case, just using the Countach).

Well, I am just starting on all the races. I finally finished all 60 licenses in Gold. And I have finished maybe half of the special events as of right now. But I am now going into the professional & the next tier events. It's pretty fast experience, like 2-3k per race haha.

No crap… Is it weird that I actually thought about using her photo of her sitting at the desk playing GT5 as my wallpaper?

No disrespect intended and I know several girls that attend our track days that hold a very good wheel and put up contending numbers, but there is something about the photo that has made me fall in love.

If I introduced you to my GF, would/could you brain wash her?

On topic; I believe Kaz said he didn't want to do the DLC thing, but if it was up to Kaz, we'd still be waiting. At the same time, I could understand why he would say something like that. What would be the point of developing another game if PD updated the crap out of the new one?

I do hope/expect DLC, I don't expect the DLC will be the answer to all prayers.

I don't expect the DLC will be the answer to all prayers.

I don't expect the sort of DLC bonanza being talked about here. We may get a couple of cars (probably as part of cross promotions, like Schick for example) and maybe a track or too and that is probably it. Kaz has said repeatedly "No DLC" and I really have no reason not to belive him.
