Any one noticed they are all playing GT5 using the official GT wheels? like no one is using DS3 nor G25/GT27 or other wheels. Just GT wheels. Smells like SONY again...

Could explain why none of the leaked videos show the details we want to see, like body modding and full crash damage.

Why are you ignoring the exclusive information that have been uploaded that was also requested?

Are you saying that unless 100% of GT5 have been uploaded in video form, it justifies that Sony was the one uploading the videos?

A lot of what has been uploaded has been obscure. Sound, not through direct feed. License test was an actual test rather than the overview descriptions for each one. Events of which some can be easily understood from other games, but new things have never gotten the precise detaikl. the video for modification, is so blurry you cant see the text.

So while it maybe done by people who have the game, in a way, it kinda smells like sony. Could just be coincidence, but still. Something isn't quite right.

The thing is, you're assuming way too much variables to the point where it's not realistic. Yes, of course it's possible that Sony is the one responsible for the leaked videos, but so many other things can be a part of the whole situation.

Don't take this personally, just trying to be a devil's advocate a bit.

Recording HD video (or even just SD video) is pretty inconvenient and expensive. The HD PVR is over 200 bucks. I can guarantee you that most of the people that have a PS3 do not have a direct feed recording device. I can tell you that if I have the game, I wouldn't be bothered to upload anything but just enjoy the game that I got early (especially looking at how massive GT5 is), let alone do a non-direct feed for GTPlanet where I'll be bogged down with massive amounts of annoying requests to record some feature in the game. Screw it.

I'd say we're lucky that the guy even has a standard HD camera that he can record with. The other guy had a video the resolution of 320x240 (the SSR7 video).

I think you're forgetting that one of the videos went through the Spec-A events but stopped because he couldn't access the Professional (IIRC) category because he wasn't at a high enough level. Pause the video at the right time and the text is actually viewable. Motion blur is the one making the text look blurry because the camera is being moved. A good realistic situation is that he's using a controller on his right hand and didn't have a tripod, being forced to use his free left hand to record. Hey, he didn't have a tripod on any of the videos so it's very likely it's true and not a conspiracy.

Hell, the other guy (5825), I recalled him not wanting to expose the car menu (or some feature) because he didn't want to spoil the game for everyone.

I'm not saying it's not possible for Sony to be the cause of the leak, but it's just more likely that a lot of people have a copy of GT5 in Czech and one or two of them might upload videos of their new game that they received early.

I think the people who have the game aren't exactly GT fans, they just happened to get their hands on the disc before everyone else. However, it is interesting that the people who have the disc, also all have video cameras.

I don't think it's all that fishy. I don't have a 'video camera' but if I needed to get creative I could come up with a couple ways to bodge together videos exactly like what were seen with less than conventional equipment.

Most digital cameras made in the last decade have a movie mode. There are also PC drivers for even the playstation webcams, IIRC.
 
If the guy didn't give the camera the middle finger I would say it was Sony for sure, but that gesture seems rather harsh for a family game.

If that was the case I would be concerned about the security for the company.

It is interesting how ppl had been moaning if GT5 would ever come out this year, but right after the leak, started talking about when exactly it comes out this year.
Up until the point the attention had been just on the release date not the contents of the game, but that has totally changed.
Right now the leak seems to have stopped, so I suspect the next step is their official announcement and I wont be surprised it is pretty near.
 
There is probably more people who have it that just don't share videos. If I had it I probably wouldn't share any videos MAYBE photos but I'd write a little information in this forum about it. I wouldn't spend a lot of time uploading videos. I'd probably use my time playing the game more than sharing it. Yeah I'm selfish. :P But I wonder if Sony can lock your ps3 from going on PSN or something for getting the game early. I wouldn't play gt5 while i'm on PSN because I'm paranoid like that. :odd:
 
I'm glad I havn't watched any of the videos that have popped up so far. Want to keep it a surprise. So tempted tho.

Its not like Kaz himself is delivering every copy of GT5 by hand, there are plenty of opportunities for people to get their hands on the game. Just look at 5825's YouTube channel, he has leaked videos of other games too, not just GT5.

There's this great website called youtube, it has videos and stuff. You know what you will find on there? A lot of GT5 videos of body damage taken from people playing the game throughout the year at places like E3 2010, GamesCom and the Best Buy demo.

I believe there was some mention of features 'not making the cut' in GT5 from an interview from TGS or later. If I saw damage and rollover in the final build, I wouldn't worry that they're not there. Given how poorly the drivers performed in early vids, I wonder why we haven't seen them? Maybe they're turned off in the options menu? It sure would be nice to see that menu too...

And why turn off visual damage? I can understand wanting mechanical damage off.
 
I'm sure many (rich and famous) people got their copy already. At least I know that is the case with some games and most movies...just like they also get exclusive access to supercars, and fancy hotels and...FML:ouch:
 
I think the guys who have the game, either have good connections or are the reviewers for some kind of website or magazine, yet teasing us how good the game will be.
 
I really don't care who has the game or how they got it, the fact that there are people out there who DO have it means that the official release is close. To me, that's all that matters.

I'm somewhat with you on that one. I've only watched videos that were gameplay...but I haven't watched any of the menu videos, dealerships, or GT auto...that's the stuff I want to explore myself....not someone else for me.

The game intro shows in-game footage with roll overs and a car sliding across the track on its hood.
 
I'm probably late and will get an infraction for posting this, but I just saw the GT Auto video, and realized, WE HAVE ENGINE REBUILD NOW! YESSSSSSS! PD does the right thing in my book - they have just removed my main issue with used-only standards, and used cars in general. Hopefully it won't be as uber super ultra mega expensive as rigidity refresh was in GT4. If it's affordable I will have no problem with needing to start out on used cars (well, there's still rigidity).
