Also the handling in the snow was so unrealistic.

compare it to this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emMRj9X-CNs

They turn the car with the handbrake and rarely use the real brakes.

I think should've left the rally part out. It looks so lame. Even Richard Burns rally is more realistic.

Maybe coz richard burns rally IS realistic ?
Plus in WRC and snow they don't use handbrake very often... just scandinavian flick and left foot breaking....

Yes sir! I cant wait to cruise with some Honda lovers, It looks like only 12 can be on the track wish it was 16, it might be though I will see when I get the game.

The GT website still says 16 players online.

Oh God ! it'll be good !
Thanks for sharing !

+1 ! Man the GT By Citroen looks like a spaceship on wheels :p
Too bad i didn t see it at the paris motorshow 2010.

I expect them to do rally physics properly or leave it out. Nothing else

As were told constantly its the best physics on any console.

Some tracks however cant fit 16 cars on a track, but i'm pretty sure that track can.

If you search for "gran turismo 5 kart" on youtube and sort by upload date, there's a video of kart gameplay and a special kart circuit (the existance of which also proves unlockable tracks in arcade mode). Here it is:

It wont be the level of RBR.

You would be within the level of a 'hopeless romantic' with PD.

As far as rallying goes, Richard Burns Rally is probably going to still be more realistic, but i've played the rally mode in GT5, and it felt pretty good. More importantly, it was a lot of fun.

The GT5 demo had the best physics for a racing on a console in my opinion, I hated rally in GT4 this is not the case for GT5 demo the rally was very addictive.

The video we have seen is ARCADE mode, there was even traction control on.

We can take absolutely nothing about physics from these videos! To be honest we can take very little about physics from any video. Wait till you play it then decide.

that's from an older demo. considering it's a karting track, I think it was just omitted from the track list.

I hate being spoonfed little bits and pieces; I think I'm just gonna leave the forum until I actually have the game itself.

And fun is all that matters in a bonus section like this (same goes for karting and NASCAR).
I don t think they would have left it in there if it were not fun.
I enjoyed sega rally, i think i can enjoy GT Rally :sly:

We are nearing the 9 day mark, so it's not like you'll be away for long.

Ok, you have been misleaded. Rallydrivers on snow use the brakes a lot. Mainly to shift the weight around. Handbrakes on snow is in emergency and in hairpins. If you use the brake and gas properly, the scandinavian flick could be mastered. And regarding RBR, I have never expected GT5 to even get close in rally-physics. They are still pioneers :)

My point was that in the vid you had to brake hard for a not so tight turn. In those situations in reality the drivers just tap the brakes or lift the gas and turn the wheel sharply to get the car into a 4 wheel slide. of course they don't use the handbrake in every turn, but when tommi mäkinen was still competing he lost in the swedish rally the handbrake of his car, he lost time 5 seconds per kilometer.

Thank Tekken,you made my night!

Right then, will the real GT5 please stand up.

Tekken are you having a laugh or is this it.

Can we get this clarified if videos are from a preview copy or Final build....can Jordan or a Mod, email Sony or PD?

EDIT: @Tekken90....Grateful for the videos...really nice work!

I'm PRAYING that online will not have lag. Cruising 350km/h on here would be miraculous.

It'll depend a lot on other peoples connections and the net code. Just a reminder, it is nothing like Prologues. This online mode is completely re-written and brand new. I always see people say that Prologues multiplayer was awful therefore GT5's will be too, this isn't the case at all.

the game looks awesome ... i wonder where is the modeled bottom in the rollover video... i mean..there´s only a "black" shape beneath the car...

no complaining.. i will L.O.V.E this game anyway...

The driver in the video has traction control on. A 4 wheel drift is not an option for him.
