I will keep it simple (and all Japanese):

Cars:
1. Nissan 390 GT1 (LCD)
2. Nissan Rogue/X-Trail/Qashqai (Brand Central/UCD)
3. Autozam AZ-1 (Mazda) (UCD)

Track:
Mobility Resort Motegi

2 more tracks for Sophy
Huh, I wonder if PD would ever dip into Chinese manufacturers. Do Japan and China get along enough for that to work out?

Okay predictions um... with recent additions, I wouldn't be surprised if a Toyota Camry/Honda Accord/Nissan Altima is on the horizon. Or if SUVs are strictly their focus right now then maybe they'll go non-JP next and add something like a Jeep Grand Cherokee or one of the BMW SUVs

Toyota Camry would be the one „everyday mum car” i would love to see actually :D

I have 2 shots which I think are pretty possible, especially with the latest Suv bonanza.

Porsche Cayenne / Macan
Alfa Romeo Stelvio

First one is obvious. PD and Porsche has special relationship and adding Porsche SUV would be possible

Stelvio is similar, it is pretty popular brand for PD and car isn’t too new to be added for GT7

PD has actively working (partnership included) with Korean manufacturers (Hyundai and Genesis) even when historically the relationships of both countries is tense in all life aspects.

Probably is more on not finding a point in common with any chinese brand yet, even though, I wouldn't be surprised if one of these days we see a BYD on Gran Turismo (as it is the car brand that is closer in philosophy to PD)

They should divert attention to performance SUvs next (Alfa Tonale, Maserati Levante, Porsche Cayenne, etc.) to pair with the Lamborghini Urus. Currently the Lamborghini has no rivals while the low-end segment is more-or-less wrapped up. Can't see them adding anything else for that category expect for maybe the Nissan Qashqai.

So I'm dumb and thought the Qashqai was like a Chinese version of the Rogue or something, which is why I brought up Chinese manufacturers 😅

Thanks for members(including myself) in the wishlist thread bringing up Opel. I don’t think that’s why this video popped up when I jumped on YouTube just then. Might be more to do with showing a Best Motoring video I never saw before.

Members bringing up Nissan in regards to a possible SUV entry, it could also be something from the past. A Pulsar GTI in the video above. Wouldn’t be out of range for the hot hatches in the game. Banking so much on a highly likely Nissan SUV, that’s when PD can throw a curveball and add something else. The NX Coupe Type S seems an even longer shot to return.

Anyway, we have been getting new to the franchise cars more than nostalgic cars. So, the Golf GTI I predicted form the datamine might come in the form of the Mk2 rather than the Mk5.

I’ll refer to these videos again.

It’s entirely possible to see all these high performance SUVs in GT7. From the Hot Version video, they mention using the GT-R as the benchmark to see how each car performs and how they all differ in performance. The AMG looks highly likely to join since we pretty much have the other three cars in the game(one can nearly bet we’d get the updated Yaris at some point).

The Hagerty video is a no-brainer. Of course no cars are guaranteed, but other than the Hyundai and Lamborghini, all other brands have still been getting real cars and VGTs added to their dealerships.

Somewhat related, I noticed GTWS streams are now available in Chinese for this year.

Think I’m more surprised we haven’t gotten an SRT Jeep Trackhawk or a Ram SRT to add to the SRT line up of Dodge cars and for the sport truck class in the game.
I'm not. I've always just assumed since launch that Jeep would just be another one of those 1-car brands like TVR is. PD seemingly have had no interest in expanding Jeep and TVR lineups, although they did surprise me with the RUF RGT they had added. I truly wasn't expecting much from RUF either.

The pickup truck lineup is also neglected... I definitely wouldn't mind seeing more pickups, but I'd like to see older ones before any newer ones. I'd love to drive the first vehicle I drove IRL in GT7 and that was a 1971 Chevrolet C10. They already have had the second car I drove which was the Dodge Charger (not a Hellcat 2016, but an SRT8 2011 - the one in GT6) ...Wouldn't mind a 1949 Ford F-1 either. I'll stop there with the wish listing though.

What’s racing on tv right now? A Calibra Sport Sedan at Queensland Raceway.

Just grabbed the lead for the win. ;)

I’m sure we’ve talked cars up before and they’ve, luckily, showed up. :sly:

Is there a standard prediction thread for updates? Predictions dont need evidence but this thread does.
Prediction: a statement about what you think will happen in the future

I dont want to put in wish list items, just opinion about what I think the next update will have, without explanation.

Either Lancia Delta S4, Bentley Speed 8, Honda HSV, a Japanese GT300, Mazda roadster touring car, a Skyline touring car, but no GT3 car, 49% chance of a track that is already in the GT franchise, & perhaps GT-R SpecV 2009, Nissan Zytek, Bugatti SUV, Range Rover Evoque Coupe 13.
Edit: while there is no mention of evidence here this is also true for many posts in this thread. Almost all cars on my list are detailed cars in earlier GT games, that's an indication. I'm missing a puny car from GT4, Autozam seems stupid & boring enough for Kaz to include in GT7.
Nissan Hyper Adventure, McLaren SUV, Mercedes AMG SUV because URUS.

Read the first post.

You've named 14 cars, most of which are nebulous and of the specific ones you've contrived to pick one that doesn't exist in the real world nor has ever been remotely hinted at and one that is already in the game, and a brand.

As the first post says, if you can't stop yourself from not adhering to the requirements, simply don't bother posting.

This just isn't that difficult.

I’m hoping for a few more Sophy tracks than usual as there was a dip in the rate in the last update.

Surely, there’s got to be a track on this one or the next otherwise maybe we won’t be getting one till GT8 is announced?
I can't see them investing in a track 3 years after release unless it's an early look at GT8 content. I doubt it though.

I think that we will get 1 datamine car, 1 not leaked car and other datamine car. Maybe an 4 car update with an suv and in that case i think the fourth car will be the X5 M 2018. Based on the 4 japanese suvs we recently got, we should get an european one.

  • Audi RS6 02 (datamine)
  • Porsche Panamera 22
  • AZ1 (datamine)

People mentioning the Fiat Panda. Keep in mind another Giugiaro design. One that was also seen in the Gran Turismo movie.

I mentioned in my predictions the datamine GTI. I wouldn’t rule out the VW Corrado VR6 either. Goes along with the six-cylinder sports coupe class we have so many of. Even though stated in the gtp article the chances are slim for the Corrado, but there’s always something new and unexpected that PD hit us with.

I’m basing it on GT Sport had its last track 2 and a bit years after release (Laguna Seca) but GT7 being a numbered game gives it another year worth of resource spend.

I’m not saying it’s good logic but that is my logic.

My son informs me that the Ferrari 296 is now in Fortnite. I’m not saying it’s in this update but could be an indication of changes in Ferrari licensing, which is why we got the 812 recently.
