JulyEiger in may or june?
my first gt for the school holidays in Japan which begins on December 24 so an introduction the day before (Monday 23) for a duration of one week before the update on January 2 !!I don't know about that big update. But maybe a new track? We got Lake Louise in november 2023, Eiger in may or june? So thats roughly 6 months between those additions. January it's been 6 months since Eiger... So perhaps a new track?
So january is 6 months ago... We can hope!July
PD and Hyundai announced their collaboration end of May. Six months later the announcement the Ioniq 5 N is coming to the game. That’s about on schedule for the average six months car modelling.
They have said three and I also saw for nine months. It’s regularly been six months.I thought it was three?
The modelling is probably the relatively quick part of it now. They have said three and I also saw for nine months. It’s regularly been six months.
Are you hinting at the peak of pikes?First to the top wins?![]()
I’m not hinting. A post was saying there’s no “circuit”.Are you hinting at the peak of pikes?
If you were meaning my posts, I have no insider information on that. I just attempt to puzzle-piece what is known, in this case that the Nations Cup Qualifying Time Trial session doesn't have any information listed (although we now know the car), and that there's a possibility that they use a new track since it's all TBA.I’m not hinting. Oh, I’m just being sly and definitely not meaning your post was confirming or hinting about Pikes Peak. I knew about the TBA from the first time it pointed out. Just had a laugh with my post about first to the top.If you were meaning my posts, I have no insider information on that. I think it's very unlikely for that to be the case, but I'm saying that it's not a 0% chance that a new track is used.
I do think it would be a cool idea to use Pikes Peak as a qualifying time trial though, but that's just a hypothetical scenario.
But yeah, I'm just an attempted puzzle-piecer, not a data-miner or someone with credibility when it comes to knowing update content in advance.
It's a shame that the GT community have to use the words 'very unlikely' that we are getting a new track/circuit. The game is 3 years old in March 2025 and this year we only got 1 new track... So far. A new bigger update with the addition of a new track would certainly be welcome at this point. And endurance races. And lots of new events...If you were meaning my posts, I have no insider information on that. I also say that in order to not get the wider community overhyped or overinvested about something, as doing so sets up the potential for unneeded disappointment. It's a shame that the GT community have to use the words 'very unlikely' that we are getting a new track/circuit.
That is correct what you say. But the fact we have to temper our expectations says enough.I also say that in order to not get the wider community overhyped or overinvested about something, as doing so sets up the potential for unneeded disappointment.
Not all of the time, but more likely than not, as is the case with speculation. Temper expectations.
We will just have to wait and see what happens. The live event is only a few days away.
Three if the car is being outsourced. Nine if it's being built in-house.I thought it was three?
Nah that's a fair opinion. It would add something different to the game, but it wouldn't be suitable for normal high-end racing just like how Eiger Nordwand & Lake Louise aren't, compared to say Road Atlanta & Watkins Glen.Pikes Peak would be a huge bummer for me and be the fourth disappointing track in a row![]()
Well i understand your opinion. I'd rather have a proper racing track added to the game, but Pikes Peak would be awesome. I just think GT7 really is in need for more racing tracks and proper events added to those tracks.I know that it's all hypothetical and unlikely, but let me just swoop in with my unpopular opinion to catch some poo emojis:
Pikes Peak would be a huge bummer for me and be the fourth disappointing track in a row
The fact that the TBA track is used in a time trial certainly points towards something rally imo.
I guess people were dissapointed by PD way too many times and reached the point of apathy. It's a shame that the GT community have to use the words 'very unlikely' that we are getting a new track/circuit. I have to say that last weeks weekly races (The Le Mans one) spiked my interest in the game again. It's a fantastic game, but like you said: this game can and should be so much more. It's baffling to me to see what we had for content with GT4/GT5 and now PD is just refusing to put out decent content. Why are there no decent endurance races in the game? It's frustrating for sure.I guess people were dissapointed by PD way too many times and reached the point of apathy.
Dont get your hopes too high for 2025. Its probably going to be even worse in terms of month skips. While you will eventually get a new track, the content will likely continue to be lackluster. Just look at Eiger update. You got a new track and some great cars. But the new events? Pathetic.
People have been asking for endurance races, new missions, more races like "the big 3" almost since launch. What did they get? Very little.
And it would be so easy for PD to deliver.

It's a free demo for new people to sample the main game. That's the point
