EVO fumbling the career mode was one of the biggest disappointments for me personally in a long time. I was really excited to see a more realistic racing sim mixed with classic Gran Turismo style progression.

Thats why I used „” . It is closest people will get for GT conpetitor.

Unless some studio will see a potential in the free space after FM
 
It really is a shame that a "Gran Turismo 7"-style career mode on PC almost isn't a thing aside from like...FM23 and modded AC.

Cause we know GT ain't ever coming to PC and every other sim offering on PC lacks a career mode. AC Evo was the next closest thing and they said nah lol nvm

Part of this is just that the game has been under active development way longer than any previous one. GT7 has been getting supported content updates developed for longer than GT Sport's entire active lifecycle, including the lull gap between Sport's content support ending and GT7 coming out.

If GT8 (or whatever the next game is) came out the same amount of time after GT7 that GT7 came out after Sport, it would have come out (actually released, not just announced) in July this year.

Makes sense. But also goes to show that despite the timeline people are still stuck on this game and enjoying it after generations. It's been a decade since Sport was released and to still have the support the GT7 does is really telling.

Even GT7 isn’t fully a thing in GT-Style career mode. It is the closest but far off the games like GT4

It is like nobody want to make a game with full demanding economy.

Eh, the shift would have happened regardless of GT Sport's direction I think. The sim racing boom of 2020 forever changed what a segment of the audience wants from racing games.

It's a genre-wide thing, not a GT thing. Every other game/sim that offers variety or historic content sees that variety never actually get played in favour of everyone sticking to your standard MX-5->GT4->GT3->LMP ladder.
 
Just had a look back to the first time update/DLC content was possible for the GT franchise, with GT5.
By my count there were 44 cars total added. 14 were road cars, and 30 were race cars. That's a ratio of over 2:1 leaning to race cars, which is pretty crazy looking back lol.
My ideal balance is the other way around, 2:1 in favour of road cars for updates.

So ironically, I think road car fans haven't had it better than the GT Sport & 7 era, as far as update content priority.

... but race cars throughout the series, I would say, out numbered road cars across the series. Combining real race cars and Racing Modified options from GT-GT7, the race cars would have have to be a pretty high number.
 
Hope this is ok to post but It is to do with GT7 and decals . I can put decals on all the parts of the car but I cannot put it on the cars anymore why is that on ( its hood/bonnet)?. My previous cars still have decals on their hoods/bonnet so i'm confused on what to do . How do I fix this and be able to put more decals on my old cars and new cars ??????? I'm Very CONFUSED . Thanks if anyone can help :)

The day GT7 is moddable, I'm getting in there lol. Obviously, that only happens after the game is offline.

Can you explain the issue a bit more clearly to allow people to help you? Maybe some screenshots?
