I accidentally went into the race with slicks on. Still managed to win. šŸ˜
 
I regret having done a race with torrential raining at twilight in Suzuka, you cannot see anything!!! Polyphony should eventually update their tracks so that they have functional lights within them. You should try what I said though, it's wonderful how you can't see anything farther than what your headlights can reach, and hearing the droplets fall on top of your car!

On the 4th attempt it finally stayed sunny the whole time and I still finished 3rd, 10 seconds behind.

The car in the game doesn't sound like the real car, IMO. Either that or my memory is fading fast. Every YT video I've seen about the GT350 has put emphasis on the exhaust note. And it sounds awesome. I don't get that same feeling from the game.

Hmm yea I guess it is a bit more muted in-game vs real life. Just went and tried it again in the game. Tried all the different exhausts. In the in-car sound is pretty accurate though. It should definitely be louder on the chase view though. Maybe they recorded it with the exhaust valves closed lol

I thiiiink I had the mic mounted in the trunk on this one.

This is just false. I don't think super gt has even done that license test. 2.16 would be ridiculous if not downright impossible too. A high 2.18 is probably the absolute limit you can get. No way Jimmy got that either. Dan Suzuki got a 2.24, not 2.20. A good lap would be below 2.22

Holy smokes the custom race settings per circuit layout are detailed! Tons of options for TOD and weather even for tracks without dynamic settings. And you can even handpick the number of opponents (up to 20 for PS4 Pro, donā€™t know if thatā€™s more for PS5). For the opponents you can either go one make or class based, or you can INDIVIDUALLY PER OPPONENT choose a car from your garage they drive in. I assume that includes the tuning and setup for that car as it sits in your garage, pretty neat!

Thinking about it, that is also a nice way to test different tunes of cars similarly specced and see which one is best for a certain track (for the AI at least).

PD, I get that you are proud of your new weather system, but please stop using it in EVERY race. Especially ones that require you to use slick tires to have even the slightest chance of winning.

Just retry the same race. Chance it will be completely dry. It's random and not fixed per race. :)

So in single seater cars where it has you sat in the centre X2019/SF/F-1500 etc if you use the offset camera instead of moving it to the left life it does in every other car it keeps you in the same position and just expands the FOV.

Isnā€™t weird there are is no world rankings for the time trials, licenses etc? And also you canā€™t see your friends ghosts or something like F1 games. The only thing Iā€™m missing, been playing way too much with my friends beating each otherā€™s times lol.

Oh and a ā€œXXX just beat your time at X track or eventā€ such as Burnout
 
I do really hope they will add a lot of new events next month or something. If there is really no GR2, GR1 etc events then it's a really bad thing :(

For now i don't see a problem with credits, i have plenty of them and don't need to spend them. The problem will be present if I end Cafe mode and start trying to buy all rare cars. I hope they will add more events which will give us more money.
 
BTW. I think that economy problem in this game only touches those rarest and most expensive cars. Acquiring those more common isn't a big problem. Even the fastest cars in the game cost 1 000 000 and it isn't any problem to get this cash.
 
Those who have done the 600pp WTC championship around cafe level 31/32/33 can I ask what car you used?

Iā€™m struggling abit as keep getting 4th overall (3/4/4) and whilst an element of get good Iā€™m wondering if I can pick a better car.

I used a tuned up R32 GTR for this absolutely rinsed it if itā€™s the championship I think it is.

Wet RedBull Ring, Suzuka and Drangon Tail.

Tried RX7/20 Supra so far as already add them, didnā€™t want to spend money on a car if no good. Will look at a R32 then

You cannot. There is a carbon fiber "paint" that you can buy, but you can only spray the whole car with it. So if you just want a carbon hood, you need to paint the whole car with the carbon paint ship, then apply colored stickers to the rest of the body in the livery editor. Just completed the game and saw the credits roll... what a truly epic game for any car enthusiast. Best GT since GT4, but they've all been truly special to me.

Did they do away with the GTS option of painting the bonnet in a different colour? I've literally spent 2 minutes in the Livery Editor so far, mostly just to check that I'd managed to upload all my decals again. It's annoying that the only decals carried across from GTS were the shared ones but at leas the uploader hasn't changed.
