What is the consensus around enabling or blocking whether a livery can be edited when shared?

Pros / cons?

There's really no pro in locking the livery in my opinion.
So all my liveries are free to edit for your own use.

It’s still a work in progress. I’m missing decals on the bonnet and rear.
But what do you guys think? Is this working?

I’m trying to do a livery to go with the suit and helmet.

Just in case.. Anyone tried to apply this livery and having issues with it? Apparently, someone commented that he can't. And it's the only one he can't. I'd like to know if the livery is the problem..

That was exactly what was happening when I first tried to import a 787B livery from GT Sport. I don't know what fix it, but worked after the Great Decal Migration of the last few days.

Maybe make sure every decal you used on it is available?

Thanks. I'm 100% positive about the decals being available. I learned it the hard way with my first 10 liveries..
And it's a new livery, not an imported from GTS.
I'll let him know. He tried 7 times already. I admire his will to use it because the game has to be reboot everytime
It worked for me though after changing the livery and loading it.

This is the final work. It’s my first attempt at this so I cheated and started with a livery I could edit which already had the patterns on the side. When I check my livery it still shows the original creator. Is this how it works even though it’s completely changed?

Also, I’m having issues vectorising the Portuguese flag using inkscape. I want it rectangular. Can someone explain me how to do it? I tried bitmap trace but it looses all the fine details.

Bitmap tracing is useless for detailed stuff...

No issues applying it here, so it's likely on their end, or more likely just GT being GT.

Thanks a lot! I'm so relieved it's not a livery issue. I spent so much time on it, and couldn't think what was wrong with it..
Annoying for him but I'll let him know. Probably GT being GT indeed

I actually like it a lot but it doesn't align well with the window. Obrigado!

Did another one. If I’m going to drive the atenza might as well do it with a personalised livery.

I did this one from scratch and boy that blue window took some work. I also couldn’t align the yellow stripe but I ended up keeping it because I thought it looked cool nonetheless.

Why can’t I add custom tires and the number in the bonnet on this car? Is it car by car basis stuff?

How do I share my liveries? And how are you guys getting those nice looking photos? Are you using that new app feature to export them from the ps5/ps4?

Question on sharing decals and liveries: if you create a livery with decals you've uploaded but not shared, when you share the style will the non-shared decals load??

Been on a bit of a British RAF theme lately. Enspired on the Spitfire.
All started when I had to buy the Atenza to compete in Daily Race B, and as I thought seen as it’s “the” best Gr4 car it needed a awesome paint job. So first thing I thought of was the awesome Spitfire plane.
Did an Aston Martin next to honour a British car in the livery.
And then today I though both cars need a pilot. Tried to copy an old uniform with life vest, helmet needs some proper goggles (which Im surprised no decal exists yet) so had to make my own, which I think look ok.

This was hard!
I mean, the livery is quite simple, but damn, every time I had to "fix" something. Seriously, I have liveries that are way more complex and it was faster to do than this one.

Since GTS I wanted to make a Hermès Paris livery so I guess it's fitting to make one with this car.

There's two conflicting sponsors because I forgot to remove the StopTech decals.

That moment when you spend half your sunday on a livery and it doesn't save... 0% after 15 minutes, can't cancel can't do nothing. Disconnected from Internet, nothing. Restarted the game and everything is gone. Thank you very much PD.

I've been there too, internet crashed out and I was instantly yeeted from the livery editor

Lost connection to PSN a couple times while inside the editor (it tells you in lower right corner that connection was lost) but i could still continue so i didn't think anything bad about it. When i was done with the livery it was "rendering" forever and just got stuck at 0%. Turning off my connection did absolutely do nothing. So yeah, i'd actually prefer being yeeted... lost like two hours of work there.

As previously mentioned, filenames of decals including the character "#" cause the livery editor to freeze. Took me a long and frustrating time to detect this issue.
