Hey guys:

This thread could use some of this discussion here.

I rarely post in threads but I wanted to say that when driving in cockpit view with a car where you can’t see the backseats like most race cars and looked behind, motion blur now stays present. Previously there wasn’t any motion blur when looking behind while in cockpit view (base PS5 4K 60HZ quality mode)

Not sure if it was fixed in this update, but at Grand Valley (specifically in the Daily Race), the starting position when doing a qualifier has been moved back to before the final chicane.

This is true

Without 'ABS', braking performance has been changed after 1.58, on most, but not on all cars.

To lock up SH tyres in a straight line, several cars need improvements to their braking system. I made the effort to install better brakes where needed on all my cars so they were (and are) able to lock tyres in a straight line. It gives me more fun and challenge in time trialling. After 1.58 I noticed that several cars locked up much easier, so I tried to de-tune their braking system. Several cars which needed sports brakes can now lock up in a straight line without brake upgrades (e.g. all BWM M3's). Others which needed racing brakes now can lock up with sports brakes.

The braking balance has also been improved on several MR cars. Many had (and some still have) tendency to lock up too easy in front on SH tyres, even with brake balance set +5 (all to the rear). After 1.58, braking (without ABS) on most MR cars became easier to balance and imo the cars give more confidence under braking. E.g. the '06 Ford GT needed brake balance +5, now only +2. The McLaren F1 still locks its front wheels with balance +5, but feels more balanced imo.

PS: please do not miss the point, let's not start a discussion about why not using ABS ;) It's about a non-documented change in braking performance on several, but not all, cars.

Why would you not use ABS weak, if you aren’t going to cadence brake?

And in all honesty it’s very difficult to cadence brake in the game compared to how you would in real life?

Not a critique just don’t really get what the value would be in not doing cadence braking or using one of the ABS settings?
